The only advice I can tell you is to wait for their response. Usually they take time to reply emails about passport arrangements. I am still concerned about your case. In my ready-for-visa email they clearly indicated: "Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together."

However, they also highlighted this: If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.

I am honestly not sure what you can do! I would send your passport alone with a letter telling them you need to make arrangements to print your wife's visa at another office.

Hi Everyone, I already got passport request, Now sent email to CIC as my wife is in back home to make arrangements for her to get visa stamped back home and waiting for their reply and waiting for it since 3 days. Because my wife can not send passport through DHL or any mail service so we have to get it stamped backhome

Any advise in this case?

its not legal to get passport like this. For some countries its legal and for some places its not legal, So I am left with one option to get it stamped back home,

Even in the VISA request email they asked, if spouse is back home to inform them so they can arrange visa stamped back home.

What do you mean it is illegal? I know that it is illegal to send it via DHL. But is it illegal that a person brings it to Canada?

Yes, its illegal to bring someone's passport. Basically its illegal to bring passport across the boarder without its owner, from custom's point of view. Either your family member do it, friend do it or courier. If your friend able to cross custom unnoticed its different story but if things get caught then he could be in trouble. So there is no point to take such risks I believe.

Hey guys,

I know an immigration consultant who recently advised me to let everyone on PGWP know that express entry will likely award 600 points to those working full time in Canada after graduation and without having an LMIA in hands.

Please read this article:
https://www.change.org/p/citizenship-and-immigration-canada-candidates-on-open-work-permits-and-working-in-canada-need-more-visibility-in-express-entry-system?after_sign_exp=client_upsells

Hope it come true one day.....

Meanwhile, wondering the EE system may be just one of current party's measures to increase votes in the coming election. Help locals to find jobs, and decrease unemployment rates. Don't familiarize these political rules, but just personally feel that it is possible......

Sorry to hear that. Then the best idea is to sent it to your local Canadian consulate.

Yes, that's best option as you can see indicated in the passport request email,

"If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office."

I contacted the CIC ottawa, and waiting for their reply, hope to get reply soon.

Can't you ask one of your friends who travel from your home country to Canada to bring the passport?
Hi! My question is to you and anyone else getting passport request recently. How long does it take for CIC to return our passport after stamping it? I received passport request on the 13th of Feb and our passport were delivered to CPC Ottawa on Feb 19th. When should I expect them back?

The time changes from one time to the other. But it usually takes from 2 to 3 weeks.

Do you know when the last Medical Request has been issued?
Did any October applicant get MR?

Yesterday a guy from my previous university posted on our private facebook group that he got his medical. He received PER the same time as I, Jan 16. And he is an October applicant. I am getting tensed. I wonder Why issuing MR became very random after January. It used to be around 1 month for most of applicants.

Viva and Regelio do you guys have any news of MR? Although I am pretty sure if you had you would share with us ...

Yep, someone I know got the email for medicals and right of pr fee today. Their file had reached Sydney on Oct 20 and was in the phd category.

But don't panic; other people from early September are still waiting.

Hi, Have you got your MR?
I personally will follow what CIC recommend.
You can do both to be safe. ;D

Is it usual to give only 30 days to send additional documents? I thought it is 2 months.
Would you please share what type of document they requested?
