Hi Viva2014

PER email is solely directed to the principal applicant. Also, all emails sent by the Visa Office (CPC-Ottawa) are also directed to the principal applicant only. If they want any updates from your spouse, they will clearly mention your spouse name in each email. Therefore, you do not have to update them with your spouse new job.

In the RPRF email, they will ask you some questions regarding updating your family composition, but they will never ask you to update your spouse status in Canada unless his/her open work permit has expired (and I assume it has the same validity date as yours). So no worries at all my friend.

Thank you so much Pepe for your message and the time you spent to check my question which was for a long time before. The reason that I wanted to update my spouse status was not because of receiving points, but it was according to PER email. In PER email, it says "if your employment status has been changed, please inform the VO". But, I am not sure what they mean by "your employment status". If it refers to me only, then there is no need to update but if it refers to all members of applications, then I should inform them. I should also add this point that PER email was sent to me and it had only my name at the beginning of the email. Does it mean that "your employment status" only refers to me and not my spouse?

Thank you so much my friend. It is bad that I cannot give you one more +1 at the moment (it requires some hours to be passed). You are an asset in this forum ;D

In Ms Excel there is a function called =RAND() , which is randomizer.
It is mandatory for all the staff at CIO/CIC to use it for all the applications. That is why you can not trace any proper path or sequence to find out how they are working.

What is the source for this information?

How did you get this info? Please share the source of info. It makes perfect sense because all the PPR showers, MR and RPRF emails were sent very randomly, however we need to make sure they work randomly.

Congratulations were you given 60 days? I got PER before you but you are ahead on MR. Congrats! +1 for sharing.

Yes, I've been given 60 days to provide them with the docs! I'm sure you'll get MR soon!

Also, CIO can NEVER randomize applications because applications at CIO must be reviewed in the order they were received. If CIO attempts to randomize applications, then those applicants who applied earlier than others may not even fall within the cap, so their applications can easily be returned (which will be very unfair for some applicants)

If this random thing is true, it only applies to the visa offices (i.e. CPC Ottawa), but never to any Centralized Intake Offices.

I insist: PLEASE SHARE THE SOURCE OF INFO.

Hi Everyone

It looks CIC received my medicals, as they asked me to send them scanned copy of new passport my old passport is about to expire in May, I will send them today , Anyone got this kind of request to update passport after they have done with their medical?

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

> Passport/Travel Document: A scanned copy of your new valid passport or travel document.

CONGRATS BRO, you soon will get PPR!

They get an automatic update of when your passport is going to expire. If your passport expires in less than 6 months from the date CPC is planning to finalize your application, they will send you a request to provide a new passport. Immigrant visas can only be issued for at least six months and up to the expiration date of your medical exams. In my case, my immigrant visa expires the same date of my medical tests. Hope this helps.
