Sorry to hear that Arian. Your name is Iranian. My only wish for you is that you never got stuck in security check. If so it may take even longer. Fingers cross!

Thank you. Lets hope for the best.

Has any of you guys who got PPR recently had to submitt PCC after application filed? I think thats the issue of our delay :-(

No that may not be the issue. I have submitted the PC almost at the same time as you (Nov 13, 2014).

Do we need to show funds while landing even though we are living in canada.

Do you know where I can find information about what is allowed to bring to Canada when landing

Dear all,
When using Xpresspost for submitting passports, do you send it to Canada Post address or courier?
Thanks

You have to have a POF on you while landing. The officer might ask you and failure to provide it can cause you problems. There is no difference between living insider and outside Canada. Although if you have a job offer, it greatly helps and in most cases, it waives POF.
Good Luck

You might wanna try this: http://travel.gc.ca/travelling/air/what-to-pack

I'm sure that following items are banned: meat, most of the foods, alcoholic beverages (I think one bottle is fine), and drugs.
If you're living inside Canada, I've heard that you can claim to bring more items later when you go back to your home country.

Good Luck

how about shauser PPR? (s)he also submitted application on 2nd June and got medicals on 17th Oct.

shauser is a citizen of a visa-exempt country, so won't need PPR.

Congrats to those who have received their happy news in the past few days, and early congrats to those of you who are going to receive it soon (ppr, per, cc , etc. ). This forum to me feels like an exciting novel through which I'm reading the life journey of many people. Best wishes for all of you. Well, I am at the beginning of my journey waiting to hear any response to my application. I have a few general questions that I appreciate to receive your opinion about.

1. This one might sound silly or existential: why do we (4012 category) need to land in the process of our application given that we already live in Canada? Does CIC provide info in the process about landing for this category?
2. I remember one person had written the full form of all acronyms used in this forum. I bookmarked it at that time but somehow lost it. Would you please share that post again?
3. For those of you who did not send criminal record check from the home country in the original application, when were you asked to provide it? with per? mr?....
