If they found your application complete, your payment will be taken (Credit Card is usually charged 1 to 2 weeks earlier than money orders etc.) and your application will be put into eligibility review. If passed you get PER (the first milestone to hit).
Currently it takes 3-4 months for that to happen.
For me it takes about 3 months to have money order cashed.

Hi Guys,

I did couple of serious mistakes on my application forms.
1) I did not mention previous marriage (It was very unintentional as there is no harm of mentioning)
2) US visa rejection on Background/Schedule A. (Though I have a US visa now, my US student visa application was refused in the past)

Do you guys think, visa officer takes these mistakes as minor mistakes or it is very serious? If it is very serious, then I would like to withdraw before they even start the process.

I just found a threat saying it's a serious issue.

My CC was charged on 15 Dec. and I am waiting for PER. Since I made mistakes on both Generic form and Background form, how do I correct both of them? I did not receive PER, I think, I should send mail/ or email to visa office after file is transferred to visa office.

Does CPP-OTTAWA send AOR? How long does it take after PER? Since we all have UCI number, I tried to check status, but it shows nothing. How long does it take to see something?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Hopefully to receive my PER shortly

Hey guys, I sent my application on Tuesday (Dec 23) and the only thing I can see online is that it was processed on Saturday night (Dec 27) 11pm in Mississagua and it's in transit. Can't believe the parcel was sitting there for 4 days even though the 24th wasn't the holiday. Has some of you sent their application via Canada Post (Priority) and how long does it take to reach Sydney? I'm concerned it won't reach CIC before January 1st.

Usually it takes 3 business days. Hopefully you can make it.
