I was stupid enough to miss that there is an address for couriers, with a street address. I thought that the address with PO BOX is the only one I can use, and that's why Canada Post was the only solution. Now I'm thinking about sending a new package on Monday by a courier service. Do you guys think that would be a smart move and what will happen if CIC receives two same applications?

I think in the new application package you can include a cover letter explaining this situation.

I have not received my GCMS yet. It has been one month and 2 days!

When was the due date? If it was a holiday (24, 25 or 26) you will have to wait until Monday. You can also email them and ask, they reply very fast!

May the new year bring PPR, PER, MR, RPRF and CC charged to all of you!

Happy 2015!

I sent my application this morning with Fedex and asked for priority delivery. Unfortunately, the earliest time for delivery will be 31 of december. Does anyone have ideai if the immegration office will be open on this day and until when 4 or 5 pm?
Then if my application is not delivered on Wednesday ,
Do they consider the date of sending the spplication and post stamp or the date of parcel receiving by CIO officers??
Please advice

They should be open as they are part of the government, right? They will probably have less people working because lot of them will take days off around Christmas and New Year. Good luck!

hi ashwaq
there is no delivery service for any postal or courier services in Canada on public holidays and weekend.
But they usually deliver it before noon on other days.
According to the information I got the timeline for the reception of files by cic for the current FSWP scheme is 12n,31st December 2014

Thanks for reply
I hope it will be delivered before noon time as you said. I paid for overnight delivery but fedex will deliver it on Wednesday before as the earliest time, I don't know why . The agent couldn't specify the exact time of delivery , he said anytime before 5 pm.

it's because NOVA SCOTIA is a remote area in canada as far as courier and postal services are concerned. I hsve sent a few packages not only for fswp but also for my nursing registration as i am registered there.
even the overnight delivery service delivers in the morning of the the day after the next day.

Hello All,

Could anyone tell me what happens after you send the application to CIO Sydney and how much do they typically take to process there? I have applied in FDW3 Cateogory.

Happy Holidays!

Thanks,
PhD Applicant

Yo guys,

I'm now able to access the on-line service (ECAS), and it says my application has been received on Sept 22.
Hopefully to receive my PER shortly :D

hello, all
Is Immigration Tracker Excel Sheet updating everyday?, if not, does anyone know how often? Thanks

the 2014 FSW spreadsheet is updated daily but our PhD application spreadsheet hasn't been updated for a while since June applicants...

You may check my signature lines for both.

If they found your application complete, your payment will be taken (Credit Card is usually charged 1 to 2 weeks earlier than money orders etc.) and your application will be put into eligibility review. If passed you get PER (the first milestone to hit).
Currently it takes 3-4 months for that to happen.
For me it takes about 3 months to have money order cashed.

Happy holiday
