Hi guys,

I am Oct 15th, DD applicant. Yesterday I called my bank, TD, and asked them to see if my draft has been cashed yet or not and they said it hasn't. However, today I sent a private message via online banking and they got back to me shortly after that my draft has been cashed on Dec 19th.

I just wanted to share my experience and let you guys know if you have the same situation it is a lot easier and faster to just message them instead of calling.

Any September applicant getting PER?
Good luck! By the way, why you did not use your credit card information as a source of payment for application fee? Then you could see it online whenever they charge your application fee.

Got PER yesterday.

App received: 8 September
Fee charged: 25 November
PER: 23 December

RA experience only
Provided CELPIP results instead of IELTS

Nationality: Columbia

Fingers crossed for eligibility check in VO, because PER really means nothing in my situation.

I am confused about what to write! Don't wanna piss-off VO. I got my medical req on 29th Aug, along with some other documents like bank deposit history, undergrad ECA (I sent MS only before), etc. and they gave me 2 months.

My med was done immediately but ECA took little bit longer time.
All additional documents reached CIC on 29th October, and same day I received an email from CIC that they are giving me one month extra to provide documents. Then, I sent them an email saying that my documents were delivered already, gave them tracking number. Never got any reply from them except the generic one,

May be VO put away my application for another month on Oct 29th, so technically I am waiting 2 months for PPR. I requested for GCMS on 8th Dec. Maybe after I get that I would know what is really going on.
Thank you guys!

I would email CPC Ottawa explaining your situation and that you have been 4 months waiting after medicals.

Guys, one question.

Can any of September applicants who are CC charged see anything on ECAS?

I am in a similar situation, waiting forever. My med request is on Oct 8th and I completed and sent all docs on 11th. The status tracker said my med results have been received. No idea when CIC-O will make the decision and request passport. The delay already costed me a job offer.

Thanks :)
I wanted to have the safest way as I saw in FSW forum that sometimes CIO fails to charge credit cards for all sort of reasons.

Hi kamranj,

Don't worry. It may take some weeks after getting charged to see the update in ECAS. For me it took 2 weeks.

Any update?

You should have ordered it very sooner. It was the easiest way figure out. But it is OK. You will be the first of us who will be asked for PPR.

It is very likely that they put aside your application after granting an extra month to submit documents. For example, my PCC were received by CPC Ottawa on Nov 27 as stated in GCMS system. However on Dec 15 they had not updated my criminality and my PCC were still in queue for review by an officer. It means they have a long queue that I assume they are willing to finalize very soon before express entry launches! My advice: wait until January to stary bombarding CPC Ottawa with emails. I sincerely hope they will not take any longer than Jan to finalize us.

Congrats, I don't know why you say PER means nothing in your situation but whatever it is I hope the rest goes smoothly for you :)

You must be applying with NOC different from 4012 then. VIsa officers from CPC-O are very picky when it comes to 4012. They have rejected many people for no reason before. My letters were carefully crafted including the 'assisting in research activities' part but ....

Oh that situation, yes I am applying with the same NOC and I know the situation. In fact I have a friend who got his application returned at the first step (rejected at completeness check because of RA employment letter who was similar to many other but for some reaseon they did not accept that as employment letter ). But if god forbids and we get rejected and it is after PER, we can go to court and appeal, I know it is not easy and it is frustrating but at least we have a case. Just wanted you to see the brights side of this nasty process and be hopeful :)
