Yes, nowadays its normal. Please fix your post and change CIO by CPC-O. CIO never asks for medicals or RPRF.

Do you have a general estimate on the waiting time before the passport is requested?

I got PER on Octover 06, and the file was received by CPC Ottawa on Oct 14 according to my latest GCMS file.

Thanks again.

It usually takes less than a month. But in this period of time, apparently it take more. We are all almost the same.

Will there be an email notification when the passport is requested?

You may be able to see your status is changed from "in process" to "decision made". Also you will definitely receive an email from them to send your passport.

Yeap, there will be an email but don't expect it soon as there has not been any PPR request issued by CPC Ottawa in FSW category (according to spreadsheets) in the past 40 days.

For those who got their GCMS notes recently, there is a section called APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT, at the end of page 2 (right before Secondary Offices). It has the following:

- Assigned to :(this is the code of your visa officer responsible of your case)
- Assigned by: (Code of a supervisor at CPC Ottawa)
- Due date: (This is most likely the date when they will go back to your file to make a final decision) Mine is in early January, how about you blackrock?

pepe84, blackrock, darkknight1:

From what I see in your timelines, it seems that the Due Date is actually the date by which you should submit your medical results (two months after your medical request dates). What do you think?

My medicals are passwed, criminality passed, security - dont know the status (might be passed too). What else they want now? they should go ahead and ask for passport. ;D

Nope, my due date is 3 or 4 days after my medicals are due!

Hey guys, just relax CPC Ottawa is very busy in this month. I think they just want to assess all applications they are constantly receiving from the CIO to then start finalizing them. I got this email today from CPC Ottawa about my Police Certificates again. The reason why I got two emails is because I emailed them twice :D Now I can breath and sleep properly

Dear Sir,

Please be informed that your police certificates have been received.
Currently your application is in queue for review by an officer.
No further action is required by you at this time.
Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Regards,

Thanks for sharing your email pepe. But my due date is exactly after 60 days from my MR date.

Yes, they might.
Could you and blackrock take a look to see if the due date is exactly 60 days after your medical request dates? It is not the case for pepe84.
