Sorry to hear that. Did you send it in an envelope which asks for signature?
I still hope your document arrives there soon. This problem also happened for one of my friends last year. Canada post lost it, but they found it after 2 weeks and delivered the package successfully to CIC after 2 weeks.

Yes, Xpresspost with all requirements. It still says "in transit". Even if they find it, I wouldn't trust they found it. So I will send a new PCC again no matter if they find it or not, because there is no way CPC could confirm they received it.

Thanks for your suggestions, be careful with Canada Post guys when you are ask for PPR. I know we have no other choice but better buy a $1000 insurance which will be the equivalent of paying $20 extra, rather than just paying for the Xpressservice with signature and get our passports lost.

Dear all,
One of my friends ask to share his questions here:
1- He recently got his PhD degree from Canadian university, does anybody know that he needs to evaluate his previous degrees ( Master & Bachelor) ?
2- Can he apply under PhD stream and PNP program at the same time ?

Thanks for any ideas,

With all this TA/RA job description difficulty being so relevant for the PhD stream, I think the following is a very interesting ruling by the Federal Court on a rejection of a PR application, due to the job descriptions being all too similar with the required NOC descriptions.

The CIC officer deemed the descriptions as self-serving, and crafted specifically for the PR application, hence, not being credible enough . Thankfully, the Federal Court reversed the decision, stating that having almost copy-pasted job descriptions, by itself, is not a sufficient ground of incredibility.

It was unreasonable to reject the employer’s letter. The Officer did not just give it less weight, he totally rejected that evidence as not credible. It is hardly surprising that employer’s letters would closely mirror the NOC; after all, it is the information that the government says is relevant and an exercise in use of a thesaurus to find synonyms is not likely to provide any better evidence.

Hi Asal2013,

Since his PhD is from a Canadian university, and then he would not have to have his other degrees evaluated for equivalence. They only care about the highest degree, not the number of years spent for education:

You will be awarded up to 25 points for your highest completed Canadian educational credential or for your highest equivalency to a completed Canadian educational credential. You may also be eligible to receive points for certain combinations to two Canadian (or equivalent) educational credentials.

1. No
2. Yes

Hi, guys. I was asked to pay the RPRF yesterday. I applied in July 3rd. (Application received on that day) and got PER on Oct. 29.
I hope I can get the medical request soon.

I was rejected last year. That was a bad time for me. On the same day, I got the rejection letter and lost my cell phone.
For this new application, I requested reference letters from all the former colleagues I can contact because the rejection letters said my work experience was not admitted.
All I want to say is that never give up.

By the way, is there an interview for applicants in the PhD stream?

Thanks.

Most of us are in the same boat. I have rejected twice before. Although I have paid RPRF and also done medical, I am not sure if I can get it this time.
They will probably ask you to undergo medical tests on Monday or Tuesday.

If you don't mind my asking, why were you rejected after medicals? Thanks

Since I was asked for proof of fund and I did not have enough money in the account. But I rejected once after medical. In the second rejection, they did not accept my work experience and rejected me after a year.
