I hope too. Apparently, CPC-Ottawa has not started issuing PPR for post-May applicants. But I've seen in FSW thread that NDVO has starting sending some PPRs just some hours ago. Hopefully, we'll hear good news tomorrow.

What is NDVO?

Thanks,

hi pyzdfr,

NDVO issued a PPR to a May applicant according to the spreadsheet. but people on that thread suspect it as faked one. anyways im expecting to see the PPR s for the early june applicants this week.

Dear all,

I may have some silly questions here.

I submitted my application on Sept 22nd 2014, however, I still didn't get any email or letter from CIC, don't mention the File number. I also tried to check the application status with UCI#, however, the CIC system said that they can't identify me.

1. Does anyone know usually when should I get the File# or email from CIC?
2. Should I email CIC to check it? If yes, then which email?
3. Should I get any email or reply from CIC if my application is declined?

Thanks a lot for all your advices.

What type of payment you submitted with your application?

1. If you paid by credit card, you just have to wait until your credit card gets charged.

2. If you paid my money order, you can call your bank and check if the money was already taken by CIC.

3. If you paid by a certified cheque, then I am not sure but I guess it would be similar to point 2.

Finally, after your money is taken by CIC, then you can expect an email with a Positive Determination of Eligibility (PER). Average time to get such email is 3.5-4 months after submitting your application.

If your application does not meet the minimum eligibility, then you will receive all your documents by regular mail with an explanation letter.

Best of luck!

Hi Pepe84,

Thanks for quick reply. I used the credit card as payment, however, it is not cashed yet.

So, do you mean there is nothing I can do right now but wait for the reply from CIC?

Regards,

Tony

Is there anybody applied after PhD defense?
Is it mentioned in your transcript "PhD awarded" ?

I am asking because in document checklist it says for PhD graduate "transcript indicating you were awarded a PhD within past 12 months".
I just defended and graduated and am going to apply for PhD stream, but the degree will be awarded in 6 month in convocation! This makes me worried, I have the graduation letter from grad studies stating that "I successfully defended and accomplished all requirements for PhD", and a transcript in which the status of research and seminar changed from IP (in progress) to CR (guess Credited).
Is it enough?
Do they want an awarded PhD after convocation?

Thanks

Yes, just wait and they'll cash your CC soon.
Since you're a Sep. applicant, I think it's still a bit early to hear back from CIC.

Since I did my medical on 10th, I guess my medical has not been submitted yet. Also CIC does not show the third line. Therefore, I am not expecting PPR that soon.

I have done my medical on 13th, so it is too soon for me.
Any news for April applicants? Apparently they did medical on October but no PPR yet.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag-ASbHOIF93dDlLNjAtR1k4eGNtZ0xhSzkzYnBrVmc#gid=0

Is that mean they did not get PPR yet or just not updating?

You are right, you can do nothing until your CC is charged by CIO.

Be patient, keep calm and relax!!
