Maybe they are trying to find your UCI number But how did you validate the generic form without including the UCI number? When I applied, if I had not included all important info in that form I wouldn't have been able to validate it

There's a rumor around that says if you've got a US visa, you've already been cleared by FBI. Now, if cic performs a background check through FBI, the procedule might be faster.
I'm not sure if it's true but sounds reasonable.

One of my friends was in US in June. He got medical request right after he came back to Canada. However, he is still under security check and has not got PPR yet.

everytime i apply for US visa, they take about 40 days to get security clearance and issue visa. I was making things ready for landing (too early to say that ;D) so applied for US visa last week and got the visa on same day. This means they have already got my security clearance on file. This means someone (may be CIC) already requested for it.
this is my guess.
