10 to 14 days on average. Did you send the application on 30 July or was it delivered on that date?

But that is the normal processing time! Judging by the time it took them just to OPEN the package I don't think they're going to be so fast!
It was received by the 30th

Check your application status using your UCI number and if it says in process then no worries about PER, you will get it for sure.
Read previous posts from me and Viva2014 and you will see all procedures to check the application status with the UCI number rather than waiting for PER email with file number.

I'm in the game! ;D
My Credit card got charged today (actually the statement came in today it got charged on Thursday). I'd submitted the application package on July 30th, Ph.D. Stream, about 2 years of TA and a year of related industry work. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the PER ? (I'm guessing its not going to be short).

pepe84, do you have US Visa?
It seems like if you applied for/obtained US visa during recent past would speed up the security check. any ideas??

Lol, thanks so much but I don't think its gonna happen so soon. I wish your words become true, but with all the delays we have seen so far I don't think they will ask me for PPR so soon. Remember I still owe them my PCC, which should arrive in Ottawa this coming Wednesday. Thanks for your kind words!!!

I don't have a US visa, :( and I don't even have a Visa to re enter Canada, lol, because I came to Canada with a worker Visa to work in a NOC2121 occupation. Then I transferred to study permit within Canada and never renewed my Visa. Literally I have been in Canada for 3 years without leaving the country :(

Is there any update of PPR for the people who applied in June? I did not see anyone got PPR from this group. Any thought?

Hi Pepe,
Thanks for the advice. I tried it this morning, but It won't work with the UCI on my study permit. Could the reason simply be that I din't write my UCI in my application form?

It doesn't matter, they will give you the same UCI number. DId you type the UCI properly? like this XXXX-XXXX (if you do not type the hyphen, it won't work)

If still doesn't work, then it might be that you did not type the UCI in the application form and then they gave you another UCI. This is very unlikely because the UCI is unique for each person who has come to Canada.

Yeah! I tried it with and without the hyphen. It's not working!
anyways I think I've signed up for a very VERY lengthy process!

Maybe they are trying to find your UCI number :( But how did you validate the generic form without including the UCI number? When I applied, if I had not included all important info in that form I wouldn't have been able to validate it :(

Did you not get a last page with bar codes?
