Thanks a lot Viva2014. I am more relieved now after reading your message. Do you think if my CC was charged it means that I have at least 67 points or whatever the passing score is? I wonder if they revised all my documents before charging my CC?

Many thanks and apologies for all my overwhelming questions :o

No problem. If you look at the PhD tracker, you will see that most cases got PER between 5 days to 15 days after their CC were charged. However, there are some cases got PER sooner or very late. You will probably get PER before October 10th. But as you can see, the processing time for starting review of applications in Sydney have increased. So, don't worry even if you do not get PER withing 15 days.

Any time :)

CC is charged when Sydney touches the application. In other words, charging CC does not guarantee that you have pass the eligibility. On the other hand, evidence shows that Sydney is only skimming the submitted documents (in most of the time) and does not go to the details and hence, issues the PER in most cases.

When did you send passport and when did you get it back with PR visa?

I sent the passports on September 11th and got them back with visas on September 18th with Express mail. I included a letter informing that I need my passport soon because I am planning to travel within weeks. My status is decision made, and one more line was added with my landing info.

Good luck to everyone :)

I got medical and RPRF requests today morning! So happy :))
Admin, would you please update the tracker?

RPRF request: October 1, 2014
Medical request: October 1, 2014

Big congrats!!

Your application is also pretty fast right? Did you also have other experience other than TA/RA?

Thanks! Yes it was fast, about 7.5 months. I had 2 work experience letters attached to my application, but RA letter was the first one.

Hi everyone,

Please advice me on the question that I have. I am currently in USA and have been requested for passport. Can I send my passport via courier (e.g. Fedex) and put a canada post label into it for return. What are the addresses that I have to put into my labels?

Please help a brother.

Hi everyone,

I mailed my application document to CIC on September 4, 2014. Still CIC did not deduct the fees from my account. It's almost one month and I'm a little worried. Can anyone provide me the information that when does CIC deduct money after applying?

Thanks.

You have to wait for a long time. If you look at previous pages, you will see that May and June applicants are now receiving AOR and PER emails. I do not know why this processing time for issuing PER has increased form almost 1 month to about 3.5 months.

Since the new/last 500 cap was released on May1st, 2014, the waiting time between Application received at CIO and applicants receiving PER has dramatically increased. Like Viva2014 said it could take more than 3 months. I'm not sure what's happening. ::)

You may check the FSW2014 spreadsheet under my signature to track the processing time for applications since May 2014.

guys, I finally submitted my documents yesterday. The only thing that is making me worry now is that I dont exactly recall if the phd letter of attestation had the signature on it or not. I can clearly remember the university letterhead and also the stamp. I just asked the university for another letter just to check how do they issue them (with or without signatures). But if it is not signed should I expect my application to be returned?
