You asking him/her to lie. HR letter represents the actual work, if there other work hours that might related to research study.

Mr. Salem10... I would like to make one thing clear. In PhD_chemistry's case they are paying for only TA during school year and for RA during summer. Why do they not pay him extra for RA during school year? Would that mean he doesn't do RA at all during school year? Can you explain. Listen..HR makes it up like that to just pay him. They have to pay him for TA but do not want to pay more than his total stipend quota per year. So they pay for TA during school year and since there is no TA in summer they pay for RA.

Second thing is, your supervisor is the only person who knows how many hours you spend on your own project and how many hours you work towards projects other than your own. So he can write the letter in his own way. It is not a LIE or MISREPRESENTATION. On the other hand CIC never ever asked to produce HR letters. All that you need is a letter from your supervisor. I guess I made it clear to you.

Hello Guys,

It would be appreciated if the applicants who got the RCMP request along the Medical Examination inform me about its processing time and how they got the results back.
Will the Police send it directly to the CIC or to the applicant ?

Thank you :)

Hi saeedp62,

I got RCMP request. I requested the RCMP through private company as the police stations in Toronto do not do that! I received the RCMP result by mail within a week and then I sent it to CIC to the address mentioned in the request email.

Guys, we are NOT eligible for 5 adaptability points. They removed it from the manual (OP6c). Check pages 20 through 22. It is still on the website, but who cares. So, set your expectations appropriately.

What do you mean they removed it? If you have seen some thing, could you give us the link?
I don't see any NEW operational manual. the last version of OP6C is still the same (updated last January). If anything changes, they put it on this list:
cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/rss.asp

I feel it's unlikely that they change things on the old system when Express Entry is soon to begin.

My bad. You can completely disregard what I said. I could not find it when I read it for the first time Even though I thought I was attentive.Perhaps , I have worked too much today lol. Sorry

I want to change my mailing address. I updated the online profile link.
How long does it take them to update it?
Does anyone have any exp regarding this?

My medical results have been uploaded. I just need to send them a copy of my renewed passport (which I am hoping to get shortly).

Hi Sia, I also changed my passport recently. May I know how we should inform them of this change and give them the new passport's information?

thanks

Forget about what HR says. Ask your supervisor to write a letter saying that you have been doing RA for 20-25 hours at least per week since you joined his/her lab. That should work.

Please make sure the letter from your supervisor doesNOT contradict with anything else that you submit with your application (like a letter from HR)

You can have RCMP send the results directly to CIC or send the results to you and then you forward the results to CIC.

My partner needed to have RCMP done and she had RCMP send results to her and she forwarded the results to CIC. This is to catch any mistakes that RCMP may make, ... like giving a false report on someone with the same name.

Do you mean your friend got informed through GCMC notes, or CIC confirmed the receipt of that.

BTW, in the doc request that I got earlier for CPP-O it is quoted that

· RCMP fingerprints: These fingerprints must be sent to the RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa for a Certified Criminal Record Check. For more information about how to be fingerprinted and where to send the fingerprint form

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm

If RCMP send the results directly to CIC, what should I send to CIC as a proof of doing the fingerprinting stuff !?

You send the fingerprints to RCMP. RCMP uses the fingerprints to do a security check on you. The report containing the results of the security check is what CIC wants. RCMP will send the report to you or to CIC. Your choice.

I finally did the landing last week. Thank you guys for all your information.
One more question though. During the landing, the officer told me it would takes about 7 weeks to 10 weeks to receive the PR card. However, in the CIC websites, the processing time for PR card is about 21 calendar days. When can I expect to receive it then?
Thanks again!

I landed on 26 July 2014 and was told PR card would take 6-8 weeks.

If I am correct no one updates the tracker! :'(

Hi Aalm,

I just changed my mailing address last week, there was a message at the end saying it would take 15 business days, however, the new mailing address showed up a couple of days after I had submitted my request.

Hope this helps!
