Is there any changes that should appear in the e-cas status after getting the medical request ?

Congrats!
You'll have a second line, "We started processing your application on 28 March 2014"

I have Canadian relatives who landed after 2 months of submitting my applicant. my question, will Ottawa award me 5 points adaptability for having Canadian relatives even though were landed after 2 months of submitting my application

I think you're eligible for those points, claim them by sending the required documents to your visa office.

May you please verify wether you got that line saying March 21 or March 28?,and wether you got the POF and RCMP requests from FA01772 or any other code?

What I know about Anna that she was a sesonal instructor and a post doc, so this doesn't meet the requirement of the arranged work .

My file hasn't been assign for assessment as of Dec 2013 but I am waiting for my latest GCMS notes. Hopefully, it will be assigned for an officer.

I don't think you'll hear from them before June, it seems they need 15 months to open the file recently. I think mine will be in June or July.

What do you mean by "My file hasn't been assign for assessment as of Dec 2013"?

I don't think it's really 15 months recently. It's true they pushed it to 25 months in total, but we know the average is somewhat less than that.

My last GCMS notes was issued in December 2013, and there was no due date by that time.
Do you think it s more or less than 15 months to get the MR or rejection? From what I can see in the tracker, it seems that the average is something between 15 and 18 months.

You should have a due date on your file. Do you know of a reason for it? My application was assigned and there is a due date on it. But no guarantee if they can meet it.

There are people who have waited 15-18 months, but there are many who got it earlier. I am not sure about it. Statistically, processing times have been very inconsistent.

I do not have one! May be you had one as you got a document request which means they opened you file, my application hasn't been touched since they received it.

See how inconsistent it is. Though it may not mean anything good for my case.

No, I did not have that line yet !
Also, all the requests I got so far (POF, RCMP, RPRF) are from RK6165. There is no officer code in the MR e-mail.

By the way, my last GCMS notes was showing that my application was assigned to a visa officer "FA01772" and the due date is April 01, 2014.

I don't see that line so far ! Did all applicants who got medical requests have that additional line on the same day ?

Hello everybody,

Does CIC accept police certificates few days older (e.g., 2 weeks) than 3 months?

Please reply.

Thanks.

For CIC, police certificates are generally valid for 1 year. The one I sent with my application had a statement that says that it is valid 3 months from issuance date. It was already expired before I apply (it was issued 4 months before I apply) and I think it was accepted because they never asked me for a police certificate from home country. By the way, at that time I attached a cover letter saying that it is expired but I can issue a new one later on if needed.

Hi,
What is the procedure of withdrawing spouse's application from the main application if there is a divorce in process?
What is the best time to do it and what documents are required?

Thanks.

Hello,

In my work experience letter that I sent in February 2013, I claimed that I worked full-time (40 hours per week) as a post-secondary research and teaching assistant (NOC 4012) for 2 full years. Is that acceptable? (I was full-time PhD student at that time)
(This is the only work experience that I have)

I am also going to update my work experience letter next week to claim one more year up to now. Do you think it is OK to change my working hours from 40 to let's say 30 for those previous 2 years? (So it is more acceptable)

Or you think I should not change my statement?

2 years work experience is enough for me to go above 67 points.

Thanks,
