Did you send a bank statement for the last 6 months before?
No, I had not included bank statement for the last 6 months in my application.

I think the sheet was not updated with Lamarck's case.

Hi guys,we landed yesterday. We walked through rainbow bridge to us border. After simply telling the officer "we are here for immigrant landing", it took around 15mins to get the refusal letter. No difficulties and rudeness were found. They are polite. Then we got back to canada side and show the refusal letter to the lady officer. She asked that routine questions like do u carry any goods outside? Do u carry over 10000?etc. The answers are all no. Then we were given a yellow card and directed to the building right beside. We handed passports and landing documents received. Then he asked proof of funds. We prepared bank statements and my wife's recent salary review letter. We were told he needed time to finish paper work. We waited for around 15mins and were called again. He asked the questions same as the ones on the landing paper and directed us step by step to sign the paper. At last, he told us we will receive the pr card in 4 to 6 weeks. We can use landing paper to apply sin and health card. Ok. Up to here, our one year and four months pr journey ended. I wish everyone in this thread and other ppl in this journey all best luck.

This is another proof that RA is not as good as other work experience (industrial or academia work experience). If you are PhD student and holding fund and doing research, your supervisor should write you a letter describing your full duties detail including hrs and pay. From your prescription, you work off campus as an engineer in a company and you responsible to look after their network and find bugs. What type of research you doing and do you have publication within this period on this work. This might help.

I should make it clear. They don't count my professional experiences in China, but my TA and RA are counted.

Sorry to hear that. I got rejected for quite similar reason. At least they are quite good in replying back your emails after they reject you. You can definitely email them and share your concern.

Thanks. I should contact them by the enquiry email address, right?

You should send an email to OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca

Good luck!

I just received my GCMS. They have changed " ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT" section. ( updated day is 2013/05/03 )
I have 66 points now. Only 2 years of my work experiences are accepted.
I updated my TA/RA letter last month . From GCMS , they put it in the file on 2013/06/10.

One of my letters ( 2 years ) from back home was precise and I think ( I hope ) this one is accepted and they had not updated my TA/RA letter when they counted my points .

any suggestion would be appreciated.

Go to the notes section of your GCMS and see if your application is analyzed by SL01732 or not. It should be note 1. If it is the case, you can find the date and details of the analysis done by SL01732. Most probably, the analysis date is before the date that you have updated your TA/RA letter.

Thanks beh.
I checked. Note 3 is dobe by SL01732 on 2013/05/03. As I thought my 2 years exp. from back home is accepted and my RA letter " do not meet the leading statement".
Note 1 and 2 are my new reference letter. 2013/06/06 and 2013/06/10

I have the same issue as you. I just received the GCMS which I ordered in june 26. I have updated my Ref letters twice once in Mach and the other one in July. SL01732 has evaluated the letters on May 7 (1.5 months after the second letter) based on the submitted letters with my application dated 2012. And of course he is an evil guy and accepted only 3months (TA) out of 4years work experience.

Did SL have a note saying 'there is no indication PA assisted a faculty member'?. If so, you would have to revisit your reference letters and see if you had explicitly mentioned the lead statement for 4012 (assuming you have also included this work experience)
