I am so sorry to hear rejection news from polestar707. I would recommend a new application for now .. never give up.

About, my first application that reached CIO on Nov. 22, 2012. on early May, I received a proof of fund request and respond to it several times, but till now I did not get a confirmation that the documents or copies of my documents were attached to my application package yet. On early June, I mentioned that the documents were sent via both mail and email. They received the email but did not print it nor attach it to my application package. They waited my documents via mail as they prefer originals but they never received the mail. As a result, no documents were attached to my application. On the end of June, I received a final request for the proof of fund. I sent an email and asked them to print it and attach the documents to my application package. I did not receive any acknowledgement nor confirmation that they received my documents. I am worried I will miss the final request deadline and my application will be rejected for that reason while they already received my email and did not print it nor attach it to my application package. I ordered the CAIPS today and asked them again hopefully everything will be clear in few days before the deadline.

I guess that if everything goes good, I hope to receive the medical request in a month. As table shows, they are working on applications of Nov., 2012. Correct me if I am wrong?

Thats very true, if there has to be rejection, it's better to have it soon, realize the mistake and reapply. Else your life is on hold and if you are graduating, you are very close to the 1 year deadline to apply under PhD stream.

Cheer up, order GCMS and dont wait for them to come in, start collecting the documents.

Based on my experience, never ever give up.
I sent an application on April 2012 to CIO, it was returned for the Univ. letter. then I sent it again on July 2012, it was returned for the Univ. letter again then I sent it for the third time on Nov, 2012. Then, I was really worried and I had to take a step to become in the safe side, after seeing so many aplications got rejected because of the work experience letters. I had two applications under processing in the same stream. THe first reached CIO on Nov. 2012 and the second on very early May, 2013.

Also, in the online request form, shloud I descripe myself as "Academia" or "Member of Public"?

I had sent an e-mail to ottawa on July 2nd asking if they received my updated PCCs and passports (both were sent on June 22nd and received by Ottawa on June 25th as per xpresspost tracker)...i got a message today saying our passports have been received and that our application is currently in queue to be finalized...but nothing was mentioned about the PCCs!...do you guys think i should send another enquiry?..i spent alot of time and effort to get those PCCs and i'm pretty bitter about it ...also i sent them the originals of the PCCs as per their requirement...but i did take photocopies before sending them in

Congratulations! That's fast. After updating your documents in March, did you make an email enquiry to know if the documents were attached to your file?
