Further to my post above, in case you mail your documents through express post it takes them at least 6 days to update your file. If you did it through email it is done the very next day. Be mindful of these timelines especially for those who have their due dates around the corner and are considering updating their file(s)

I have just received my GCMS notes as well. It was generated on June 3rd. And now I'm really worried. My application was analyzed by SL01732 on May 2nd! And again, I was not given any points for work experience since the officer indicates there was no lead statement. The file transfer history shows that it has been transferred to FA01772 on the same date after SL analyzed it. I sent an updated reference letter on June 11th. I don't know if they have reached a decision by now and whether they considered or will consider my updated letter or not. The due date from FA01772 is June 17th. I'm really frustrated.

You need to make sure if the letter has been attached to your file. What is your timeline like? are you on the tracker?

I sent the letter by email on June 11th. And by XpressPost the very next day. There was even a delay in delivering it (Canada Post is really unreliable) and I sent another copy a few days later. Both copies arrived on the same day. I just emailed CPP-O to request a confirmation that the letter was attached to my file. I also sent another request for GCMS notes. I'm not sure if I will get them before I hear any bad news from CIC though.

I'm not on the tracker. But the moderators/admins can add me.

Application received: 28-6-2012
PER Issued: 3-8-2012
Doc Requested: 17-1-2013 (Bank Statement)
No. Applicants: 1
Work Experience: RA Only
Nationality: Egypt
Current eCAS Status: In Process

One last thing. I noticed that there is a due date in the eligibility section of the notes that is basically one year from the date of the PER (August 3rd), not the date of receiving my application. I just hope there is still some time before they reach the final decision given the fact that the file was analyzed by SL.

I see. Did Ottawa confirm the receipt of these documents?.

Not yet. I just emailed them to ask for confirmation today. I only got the usual auto-response message when I sent the email.

Great, thank you!

Does CIC usually send a confirmation email after receiving additional documents? I sent requested additional docs 10 days ago and haven't heard anything yet. Is it too early or they won't send any email about receiving them?

They never confirm. You can make an inquiry yourself if you are worried.

Congratulations! That's such a good news! I was actually thinking about you today, wondering how the things were and why you didn't post lately. Glad that your struggle is almost over now.

Congrats!!! You are a real fighter and an example, NER to PER, no additional requests. A hell lot delayed too. But all is well that ends well. Am glad its almost over for you.

Relax now and enjoy. :D

Apparently, it was analyzed by FA....

Hmmm... I think section FA**** has the final say. SL is just prelim, if a black and white case, you go to next level if discretion is required, it is sent to FA, I suppose. From there, it's another set of frustrations.
