Is the information on CAIPS closer to the date of request? Although it takes around a month to get CAIPS, from my file I could see that the
request date was 10 April and generated date was 12 April, but the file reached me on 10 May. I have recently submitted additional documents, think I should wait for a month before I order CAIPS to know what action they have taken on my file.
If your CAIPS says generated on April 12th, the info in it will be up to date as of April 12th...when did you submit your additional documents?...if it was last week, i'd wait for a week or two to order CAIPS again..by then those documents would definitely be attached to your file (hopefully!!) :D

Hi Thanks for prompt reply and help, I would like to ask that this where should I write this leading statement in this letter as this statement is missing in the letter you mentioned as well, furthermore for T.A letter I am write amount of money I am getting for T.A and for R.A letter I must write amount of scholarship I am getting for R.A??

You're more than welcome!

The leading statement was mentioned in the letter, you're not going to write it word by word!
It was written before the duties, As a research assistant, he assists me in research activities in the area of xxxx.
You have to write the annual salary you receive as a Research Assistant, as you are paid for doing research then it could be the scholarship.

He means the CIC website not this forum. You need to check the following page frequently:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

They used to mention number of PhD applications reached CIC in the same page. But for some reason they did not mention it yet. May be in the future they might mention when substantial number of PhD stream applications reached CIC.

Yes, they used to update this information for the PhD stream too. I'm not sure why they have not done so yet, but surely they will, probably in the next couple of weeks.

I just sent them an enquiry regarding the status of my CAIPS as well!...maybe i'll get the same message you got too ;D ;D ;D

There was a time where I had overlapping GCMS requests, and a lot of these requests somehow just got lost. When I asked for inquiries, they either said they treated two requests that were close together (within a week) as duplicates (so only honor one), or they just did not recognize the tracking number (kind of similar to the reply S_Govind got from them).

I think the only sure fire way to make overlapping requests that were close to each other (say, two requests within a week) is to request these notes under Access to Information Act, since not only will you get a tracking number, but also a payment receipt number associated with each request (if you pay the five dollars, then they can't deny that they have not received the request yet).

Folks,

I just received my GCMS notes that I was ranting about a bit yesterday. I sent in another request and it apparently took them less than a day to process this. However, there is nothing to cheer about. I suffer the same fate as StuckatQuebec. My file was analyzed by SL01732 who decided that I do not meet R75(2). My Ta duties were accepted and not my RA since I was missing the word assist in the former and not in the latter.

This was done just a day after they received my proof of funds. The good thing is that they now have my updated reference letter, contracts et al on file and I have a due date of the 27th of August (Exactly a year since my file reached CIO).

PS: I did get the adaptability points for my masters though.

The current status of my application is as follows

Eligibility: Not Started

Security: Not started

Criminality: In Progress

Medical: Not started

So is it means they are not on strike? Lets think positive Govind since they received your updated letter so hopefully it will be considered. I got my GCMS exactly on the same time u got now (one month earlier than the assessment date) and it shows the same status only Criminality was in process. RCMP was submitted. What about your RCMP?

Mine had 'no reportable trace' even on the last GCMS. Did SL01732 analyze your application as yet?
