Hi guys,

I just received a document request for RCMP Criminal Record Check. As you may have noticed from the spreadsheet, I'm a May applicant and got my PER on May 30, 2012. Do you think that I passed the selection factor (minimum point requirement)?

Thanks

Most likely since you were the next in line after zorro. Order CAIPS asap to confirm. Perhaps your RCMP screening reported a hit (name or dob matched with a person who has a criminal history) and hence the fingerprint request. This should be reflected in the sub activities section under criminality in your CAIPS. I am saying this since mine reported 'no reportable trace'.

Good Luck !

I just received confirmation that my supplemental reference letters as well as T4, T4A's has been received by their office. I emailed my reference letter and other supplemental documents on the 22nd of May and sent in the hard copy through express post on the 23 rd. I had initially sent in an inquiry on the 29th and they failed to respond. I sent in another inquiry today at 6.42 pm and guess what I got a reply by 6.48 in exactly 6 minutes !

So Kazi and others, if you haven't received confirmation go ahead and email them to find out if they have your letters et al. In this way you atleast have proof if something untoward happens

Me too just received a confirmation e-mail from Ottawa regarding my supplementary reference letter sent by e-mail two months ago and by mail one month ago. I sent my first inquiry e-mail on Friday and I just got the reply this afternoon. I should receive document request this week according to the tracker. Did u receive a confirmation e-mail regarding the proof of fund that was requested from you before (according to your shown information)

That's a first. Well you should be ok. It comes in a week. I still think that the application has not gone to eligibility stage. They are completing the file I guess. You definitely have the minimum points atleast according to Sydney. I may be wrong.

Yes I did on the 27th of May. I had emailed them on the 17th of May. The documents were sent on the 29th of April...

JVJ also had this request the day he passed eligibility. A few others on this forum have also been through this (shomo etc).

Given his timeline, NeverGiveUp most likely has passed selection factor. Can we confirm that the email was sent by FA01772? Or was it some other department? In any case, even if it wasn't FA01772, I'm almost certain he has passed selection factor. As S_Govind said, it is not the first time that RCMP finger-print based PCC has been asked of applicants.

I didn't add any TA or RA experience in my application. Based on current rejection, I am planning to add my work experience as TA/RA along with industrial experience.

What do you suggest should I modify Schedule 3 for Work experience. In section 8, Work in Canada, I previously said no I didn't do any full-time work in Canada. What should I write now?

2ndly, should i need to change the amount of assets as due to my newly born baby I have to increase the amount of money in my account?

Other than experience letter, and six month bank history what extra documents should i attach?

Hi tahhiir, do you mean that you are planning to add TA/RA experience to your application that is currently processing, or is it for new application? If it is to supplement your current work experience, it's hard to say. OP6B mentioned the following

Officers must consider only those occupations which the applicant has specified and for which the applicant has provided the four-digit NOC code on their application form (R80(6));

It doesn't say that the four-digit NOC and the occupations need to be specified at the time of application, so you can argue one way or another.

EDIT: okay, if we analyze the particular subsections that the above passage refers to

80(5) A skilled worker must specify in their application for a permanent resident visa the four-digit code of the National Occupational Classification that corresponds to each of the occupations engaged in by the applicant and that constitutes the skilled worker's work experience.

80(6) An officer is not required to consider occupations that have not been specified in the application.

It says that an officer is not required to consider occupations not specified in the application. Now, obviously one can always argue that if we provide supplemental letter of reference for a new NOC, then technically we have specified that particular occupation in our application. Again, it's ambiguous and can go either way.

Thanks asbereth, S_Govind and Stuck In Quebec. The request was sent by RK6165 (the one who also sent me the first document request on Feb 4).

Just apply for GCMS. It will only take like 5 minutes of your time :)

Hello,

How long would it take to see my status online (Ecas) after they received the application (Knowing through Canada Post tracking service).

Thanks

To the moderator: My application has arrived in Sydney on 11/June/2013, if there is a excel file recording it. Thanks.
