Thanks Govind-- what does RPRF means at page 1, it says 'OUTSTANDING', another thing COST Recovery- it says 'complete', what does counterfoil means? My eligibility, admissibility and medical due date is on 3rd Aug, 2013. Is that mean I have passed the selection factors , how do i know that i have assessed by sydney or ottawa. Plz help me from your best. Thanks a lot.

I think your application hasn't been assessed by Ottawa yet, you can find that in page 2 under assessments, and under eligibility 2, also there will be a written note by an officer,.

RPRF is The Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

Hi all,

As N_O said, if under notes, you can read assessment by an Ottawa officer, then they have completed selection factor assessment (passing selection factor does not mean you pass eligibility; you need to have enough money as well). If not, then only Sydney has done very initial and face value assessment.

I think 'no reportable trace' means that they could not find criminal records while doing RCMP screening, so it's a good thing

Also, RPRF outstanding means you have not paid this fee yet. It probably won't hurt to pay this fee even if they haven't asked for it yet, provided you have received medical request.

Lastly, if you're from a visa exempt country, then counterfoil will be 'no', since they will not need to paste the immigrant visa on your passport (just landing paper is enough).

Your eligibility is in progress. Have they (FA01772) asked you yet for proof of funds documents? If so, then you have passed selection factor.

Recently we hear a lot about this RA/TA, how the officers treats shows that they are not happy with this job title, they also remove this kind of work experiences from the CEC class in 2013, but here is a link to R2 regulation:

if you look there for the definition of work, you will find :

“work”

“work” means an activity for which wages are paid or commission is earned, or that is in direct competition with the activities of Canadian citizens or permanent residents in the Canadian labour market.

so based on this definition, TA/RA is definitely a job, I think this is a strong evidence to justify TA/RA as a job.

TA/RA is indeed a job, I know some people with just TA/RA who have already received their PR, and also myself. In fact, the provision for CEC does not exist for FSWP, so even work experience gained under work permit should still count for FSWP.

Border agents can say whatever they want, but in the end, it's CIC who determines whether or not a work experience can be accepted.

pages 28 until 30. The first note is the most recent and so on. I just have a note by RK6165 requesting proof of funds. The request was dated 15th April (the same day I got an email from CIC). You should see something similar in case you got the same request too.

My first note mentioned (in the text section) they have received my documents on 21st March, Although it was a mistake of them I have sent those documents on February,13 but they sent me the document request again on 20th of March,13. But when I provided them the evidence then they apologized on 21st March by saying they have rec'd my documents. Interestingly when they first time requested me for those documents (in my Note-3) the level of that note is 'Eligibility' instead of 'General'. I am not sure, is that mean they were asking me for those documents to decide my eligibility after passing me the selection factors :-\

since you said that your eligibility says not started, i don't think you have passed Eligibility by ottawa...i believe they were just gathering documents from you for the purpose of eligibility assessment and will actually do that later when it's time for your application to be assessed. Also, if you had passed selection factors, there will be a paragraph worth of notes like what asbereth got, saying that the considered this and this reference letter and gave you so and so years of work experience and so on....

I have a total of 30 pages in my notes. I requested mine on the 18th of April and sent in my proof of funds only on the 30th of April (I had time until the 15th of May to do so). Considering the notes are back dated by a good 4 weeks, I should not see anything regarding the documents I sent. I too have the label as 'Eligibility' which is fine since settlement funds are a part of the eligibility review.

I would like to clear the air regarding the terminology used here. Selection refers to the decision made at the CIO level in Sydney. A face value assessment (the veracity of your reference letters are yet to be verified). Eligibility refers to the final review made at the Ottawa level. Here the documents are thoroughly analyzed and points are allocated therein.

If you see the word 'Selection' it most likely refers to CIO and not Ottawa
