Guys, I don't know if it's a good or bad news, but CPP-Ottawa sometimes are having a hard time attaching documents you sent through email to your application

aidina found this the hard way, and so did this guy from the aforementioned thread. So if you are sending supplemental information regarding, say, your work experience, or if you are submitting POF, it's probably fine to send them by email, though you must always follow up, or even send the originals anyway.

That explains why they ask some applicants to submit the required documents again although those were sent before! It seems some emails go through a filter, once the applicants confirmed sending them, they check them in the spam folder :)

I e-mailed them a supplementary letter of reference on April 9 and I have not got any response so far, only the instant automatic reply. I am going to mail it to them this week and send them another inquiry e-mail also. I don't know really what's wrong with those guys !!!

I don't think your parents bank history would make any difference with CIC guys!

When I applied for study permit, I submitted my parents' bank statements along with a signed document that they will financially support me. At that time, I closed all my bank accounts to leave to Canada without taking any statements for my own accounts and put the money in my parents' account. When I was asked for financial proof, instead of trying to show that I had money and transferred them, I simplified matters as such.

I don't suggest that's what applicants must do, but it's better than two options: not submitting anything at all, or borrowing money pretending it's yours.

I totally second your plan of action. I actually, as mentioned earlier, sent them the documents twice via email in a span of 15 min as the first one, I realized, was over limit in attachment size. I would suggest that all of us take very careful note of attachment size and sending each requested document as separate attachment within the same email rather than a single pdf, as requested by them in their correspondence email.

I too am going to send them an email asking for confirmation of receipt of document just to cover my tracks and have in the meantime saved the delivery report from CanadaPost and the receipt of sending the package.

I didn't request a receipt signature to save time :o, but in future I think I am definitely going to do that as a standard procedure.

Hope there are no additional debacles and misfortunes with anyone regarding delivery and receiving of requested documents.

Any news from April Applicants? Its April 27 ::)

I am preparing my application. Who signs the form "Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP)"?? (The applicant or spouse)??

Nope, nothing

Do you have additional dependents (other than spouse) ? If yes, then main applicant signs it.

If spouse has additional dependents, then in that case, spouse also signs.

Hi All,

For FSW: Schedule 3 - Economic Classes - Federal Skilled Workers form

Question 5 b "I was a recipient of Govt of Canada scholarship or award that required me to return to my home country following the completion of my degree, but I have satisfied the terms of this scholarship of award."

it is ambiguous statement in the question ...

I did not hold any such scholarship or award. so that case answer should be no ?

I think we have to answer atleast something, otherwise CIO Sydney Nova Scotia may return application as incomplete ...

Definitely, the answer is NO.
This question is for someone who was a recipient of scholarship, then he went home back and satisfied the terms of that scholarship.
