You don't have to worry about this form. It's only needed if you are applying for CAIPS on somebody else's behalf. Just fill out the form (Privacy Act), then print it out, sign and scan it. Scan your study permit and driver's license, then apply through email.

It's the history that was the problem. He had enough money, but the immigration officer was not convinced that the money was his.

What is the difference between GRA (graduate research assistant) and RA(research assistant)? It seems GRA is non-taxable while RA is taxable. Will the CIC treat them differently?

Every student here (in my university) used to do just RA (taxable), but starting 4 or 5 years ago, they switched to GRA (or GRS as we call it here in Waterloo), which is non-taxable. A student is an RA when he's working on some research project that is not related to his PhD thesis, whereas GRS is the funding given to students to work on their own PhD projects. As far as CIC is concerned, GRA/RA/GRS should all be the same, as students perform the tasks and main duties as given by NOC 4012.

You can read his last posts. However, it was an issue with the 6 month history, the account was in overdraft on the date (May 24, 2012) that he was requested to submit account histories to the Visa office, so they were not satisfied that those funds were his own and that he is not obliged to return those funds to their originator.

2) What happens if my wife is pregnant at the time we receive medical? Will everything get delayed or the X-ray exam will be waived off for her?

Experienced people, please guide.

1- Many applicants sent it as a soft copy, but stamp them from your bank at first.
2- I know a friend who had to wait until she delivered the baby, because she couldn't do the X-ray

I just noticed that there is an "online request":

and form IMM5563 is listed under "Mailing Request..."

So, I am wondering if I still have to fill out IMM5563 if I want to request online?

I just did it too. No longer need to fill out 5563. It's much faster this way. Don't forget to attach scanned copies of your permit and license.

Proof that you have the right to make a request:
Proof may include a copy of your Canadian passport, your permanent resident card, or an official document that demonstrates you are currently living in Canada (i.e. driver's license, bill with proof of address, or work, study and/or visitor permit).
If you have a mailing address in Canada, you will NOT be required to provide proof.

Even I read it when I requsted mine 2 weeks ago but I did sent the study permit and driving license the last time. I tried now without them.
