Dont worry man. I got rejected 3 times and its my 4th time.
And I have hope yet .... :o

so sad to hear so many rejections. I think since work experience evaluation is so important, they should cset up a mechanism that they can consult professional people for such evalution other than only refering NOC. NOC is too broad ad general. If you are not in that profession, it is hard to judge properly.

I applied on January 16, 2012. I presented RA as well as previous experience. I got back email from CIC after two months with my Application number. They started processing my application at the end of January 2013. I was asked to provide police certificates which I submitted in the beginning of March. I got medical request at the end of January as well. I checked my application status on eCAS two weeks ago I was surprised to see "Decision made". It also says that they have received my medical. No PPR so far, not sure if it is a rejection or acceptance :-\

Hi

I have a quick question about police certificates of character. Is it possible to submit PCCs before they are requested?

Thanks!

RCMP: Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They even gave you the link to their website!

I know N__O..but I still wanted to double check with people on the forum...There are so many experienced people here, that its always better to ask questions even when you are sure....you never know, you may a get a useful tip regarding the matter. Thanks for your response though :)

Thanks for your previous responses. I am going to mail them my new PCC from other countries as well, since I already have them.

I just have one more question regarding the proof of funds. What exactly are they expecting..

-- a digital copy or a hard copy
-- screen shot of my day-to-day account details would be good enough or do they stamped document (day-to-day account details) from the bank..

Please guide

I think this is the case as well. Some applicants have been found to be eligible, but no medical yet, and my guess is that they got stuck because their RCMP screening is taking longer than expected. When they just completely give up searching for your information (or if there are too many people with the name having criminal records), that is probably when they finally ask you to do finger-print.

It only takes like two weeks to get your PCC, so it's probably not so bad an idea to do finger-print based RCMP PCC before applying anyway, especially if your name is a common name in Canada (like John Smith or something).

Well, my full name is not a common one in my own country let alone Canada..lol

I printed my bank statements and took them to my bank, they stamped it for free but told me that it should be fine without stamping. They refused to stamp the transactions (there was no name on top of the transaction page), it should be monthly bank statements. Since they requested PCC you need to mail them, but my friend just emailed them the bank statements.

Wow, have not been here for a few days, and many rejections!
Aidina, I just read your RA letters. I would say even your second one is not what they want. I know it matches the NOC duties but now, after all these rejections, I think they are looking for reference letters that not only match duties, but also provide so much details, and possibly supporting documents.
This is what they want to accept a work experience.

Another point is that, they want good PhD students, not all of us.

This can not be true, what do you mean by good PhD students? every body can write so much detail about his/her RA. If they need detail they would not say your job description does not match the NOC , they would say not enough detail.
Supporting documents? Like sending our conference and jurnal papers to prove that it is actually part of our RA?

Stamp them from your bank, and make sure that your name appears in the first page!
Print the Profile page from your online bank account, mostly it has both your name and your account number. If it doesn't get a letter from your bank that has your balance, name, account number.

check your spam mail box. I doubt you would get decision made after medical with rejection. You may be stuck on security/criminality tests for a few more days.
