Guys, I got my document request.

PCC (mine and my wife's from home country) in 90 days, and
Fund proof in 30 days.

Thanks. We got PCC in December when we were in Iran. It took about one week.

Good for you. Did you apply through Police +10?
Did you show your fund in CAD or IRR?

Oh wow, they may as well make you submit the whole application all over again :) Congrats. Can you share with us the wording you got in the email? I wonder why some applicants got requested for statement of research, whereas some others are not.

It's good to know that they start moving forward in the application. That they seem to honor the due date seems more and more likely, and a lot of people would hear something especially the first couple of days of spring. Hopefully it'll all be good news.

That's crazy. I got asked for POF and PCC about three weeks ago, but they gave me three months to do PCC, and only one month to do POF. I think that's probably true for mehroonir as well (until June 19 for PCC and April 19 for all else)?

I wonder how this would relate to their PhD field of study. I mean, they're all doing their PhD in accredited Canadian universities, why would the CIC still need to question the legitimacy of their study?

lol :D As a matter of fact we sent the whole application again recently for CEC.

Yes you are right. The due for police certificate is 06/19/2013. I saw it just now.

"Police Certificate: Please provide an original police clearance certificate from Iran as the document you have submitted is outdated.
Additionaly, please note that a police certificate must be original; photocopies or certified copies of police certificates are not acceptable. This must be received at this office by: 06/19/2013.
Ø > Proof of funds: Please provide evidence of funds which are completely available, transferrable and unencumbered by debt or other obligations.
Evidence of account activity for the past six months must also be submitted. This must be received at this office by: 04/19/2013.
Ø > Other Ph.D. program information:

· The field of study for your doctoral program,

· The name and contact details of your doctoral advisor and/or academic supervisor,

· A detailed Curriculum Vitae, and

· A list of all publications that you have authored or have participated in."

.....

"Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada."

Given the embargo, they want to know exactly what kind of stuff they are studying, in order to measure things like potential for espionage and other security stuff that makes me sound like James Bond.

I see. They're probably concerned that any of these students are doing studies in fields like nuclear engineering or weaponry. These fields could possibly cause some security trouble for these applicants.

Yes Police +10

in CAD

You're lucky that you had it covered. I hope your bank balance has been pretty healthy within the last six months? Send the documents they want as soon as possible, and you'll probably get MR within two weeks :)

I think this sort of information should be achieved by the national security offices, not by asking the applicant directly.

Due Dates are always one year after PER.

Mine is not...According the CAIPS I got, my due dates are March 27, 2013, while my PER was Apr. 23, 2013. Though I haven't heard anything yet...We'll see :)

You probably got reviewed twice as me. Check the last page of your CAIPS!

I have a question.

I also submitted an outdated PCC to CIC. They probably is going to ask me for that. But after I sent my application I applied for new one and I got the new one and After that I never been in iran. But the problem is the new one is also expired. Do you think this is acceptable or not?

Before they ask (which I am sure they will), go apply for the new one as soon as possible, especially since the process for obtaining it seems to be elaborate. You should have sent it as soon as you got it last year, but now, it would be too late since even that one was expired. So go get the updated one, then send it to them.

I am going to apply for a new one, But I would like to send this one now , may be they accept it and they just did not ask for the new one. But I do not know how to send it. To where?

By the way, I am from Quebec.

Guys,

I got my visa on Monday and landed yesterday.

Apparently, Ottawa takes longer time to send the landing vise!.

I wish you all the best in your PR journey.
