Finally, I have been asked to submit some documents today:

  • Proof of funds: Please provide evidence of funds which are completely available, transferrable and unencumbered by debt or other obligations. Evidence of account activity for the past six months must also be submitted.
  • The field of study for your doctoral program, The name and contact details of your doctoral advisor and/or academic supervisor, A detailed Curriculum Vitae, and A list of all publications that you have authored or have participated in.

I don't know what "document" I have to provide for the second item though!
congrats!!...finally some movement!...i can see why they would ask for the proof of funds but why ask for the list of publications??........that really boggles my mind ::)

There is no need for the lang test records to be in sealed envelope...
Paper is already watermarked and they can access the results easily online... On my 2nd and 3rd submittal... (yes I sent it for the 3rd time) I haven't sent the IELTS test result since they kept (still) my 1st application in their records.

Hope not to receive my application back with a letter saying "WE R SORRY BBY, UR SCORE REPORT IS NOT IN A SEALED ENVELOPE AND WE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO MAKE SURE THAT IT IS NOT FAKE :P"

Congrats AF___. At least it means that they have looked at your documents again. Like the other guys I am wondering about your nationality. If you are Iranian, then it means that they are discriminating Iranians. If you look at the tracker, 3 of 4 rejected applications are from Iranian applicants. If we know they want to make it hard for us, then we may have other plans for our lives than waiting for nothing!

This is not the same stream as in 2009. That one was opened to all international students.

But your idea is good, if you are in Eng, but many people are not. I really advise people in Quebec to look for professional help.

Do you think having a family (PR) living in Ontario would be a good reason to show your intentions to live outside of Quebec?

Is there any PhD streamer from Quebec who got his/her PR?

Do not be afraid man. There is no reason for them to discriminate us from others. It is just by chance that 3 of 4 rejected people on the tracker are Iranian. They are all rejected for a reason.

Thanks guys,
I called the credit card people and they confirmed the transaction was approved by the CIC. Hopefully, the status will be updated within two days.
Hint: The application reached on Nov 22. That means It took the CIO one month and 3 weeks to process it.

Congrats for the PER :)

Hopefully things would move faster!
