You know, the problem is that almost all the other PhD students in Quebec that I know, have already applied for CSQ, or they have just arrived in Quebec, and are not eligible yet for this category. So, I can find absolutely no other specimen to ask about their experience!

I do not think that the University can give me useful info about that, and have no idea how I can make sure?!?

I sent e-mail to some organizations about that, but no one replied. You think they will answer if I call?

I'm in McGill in QC, I do plan to apply under Federal phd stream. I don't see any problem to do so since I'm not planning to stay in QC after graduation.

No. They tell you right away.

Now, about the MR news. I predict thing will start to move again, and it is obvious now that they are giving MR by application
date, (30pixie was probably on of the few people that didn't apply to Ottawa).

I suppose it was the school holidays and summer - thus probably alot of the CIC folks may have taken a week or two off with their families - which explains the quietness.
Btw, congrats on your candidacy. I got mine 2 months back. Hope that the Colorado shooting doesn't paint a bad light on PhD candidates.

Yes they did and he submitted immediately. I think we are going to see same movement soon for Jan applicants!

Based on Guide 7000 and checklist, you don't have to submit it right now. But they will ask it later.
