So maybe we should add another column in the spreadsheet about using TA/RA as working experience or not?

I will do that later. But guys, don't get discouraged if your application takes a bit longer than others. It depends in many factors that are not really clear. I really placed a lot of effort in my application to make it as close to perfect as possible. I read all the documentation like ten times and I actually got even more documents translated than I really needed, i.e. tax declarations and other things. In the end I decided not to send a lot of things, but at least would be nice to have them handy in case they request.

CONGRATSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What work experience proof did you provide? RA/TA only or something else?

Thanks.
I also worked for 3 and half years other than RA/TA (RA&TA included).
Wish all the best for everybody.

I only have TA and RA. My timeline is the same as famou12 before PER. You can add me to the spreadsheet.

Woo hoo, congratulations!!! It does look like that those with more work experience probably got processed a bit faster (since both famou12 ands TyrusX have 3.5 years of work experience). Anyway, I only included RA/TA experience as well, so if you can add that information in the spreadsheet, that would be good.

And oh, my credit card got charged on the 5th of March :D Though my timeline could be a little different since I actually (foolishly) forgot to include information regarding my brothers and sisters in the IMM 5406E form :( and they told me to rectify it after (if) my PER is issued (and send it directly to the VO).

Regarding the work experience issue,
I included my work experience before I started my masters which was full-time for more than 1 year but less than two years. I also included my work experience as TA/RA during my masters and PhD, both in Canada, and that was part-time 20 hours per week all year long and that added up to a year and half of full-time.

Ya, it is something similar to that. Do note though, that the HR letter will NOT contain any information regarding your responsibilities and duties, so in my letter from supervisor, I had him also include teaching assistant responsibilities. Remember to include only the research part of your funding for your research experience (in my case, my funding comes from different sources that may or may not be directly related to research, such as international student scholarship, etc). You can PM me if you have more questions :D

I have TA and RA experience for 3 years, and an earlier experience of 4.5 years as an instructor at a college. I included all the three.

Are there any applicants from humanities stream?

i was wondering if anyone can clarify this...i will be applying as a family of three...myself, my husband and my son, born last year, here in canada...so technically my son doesn't need a PR and he has a canadian passport...so should i show settlement funds for 2 people or for 3 people?

You son is an year old, and thus, he is your dependent. Therefore you need to prove the funds for the 3 of you. It doesn't matter he was born here.
