Hi guys,

I just sent my 2nd application, in which I included both TA and RA.
I claimed 20 hour per week for RA, 10 hours per week for TA, and mentioned that I was conducting full time studies (15 hours per week).

So, what is this new thing about not accepting RA anymore?

Should I withdraw my application? And how can I show that I have more than 12 months of full time experience without it? I was sure it was for the CEC stream that they refused it...

Any advice welcome...

Sarsanballa is the only applicant who received a medical request on the new rules, once he receives his GCMS nots we will be able to find out whether they counted the RA or not.

Hi everyone,

I attended a workshop today, and the consultant there (RCIC member) said that the RAship will not be counted unless it is taxable.

Any ideas?

I think that if this is true, for all the new applicants they should return your application and refund your money since it should be considered incomplete (valid work experience missing), instead of charging your money and making you wait for 25 months!! They should be clear and fair about this point.

I always thought that to be even ELIGIBLE to apply under this stream having work experience was ESSENTIAL... if RA is not considered work experience anymore, they shouldn't take our applications and even less our money

Hi sarsanballa,
Congrats for the progress in your application. I was wondering if they gave you adaptability point (5 points for being a PhD student)?

Hi,
Can you please add my name to the Excel sheet?
Application reached: Oct.7.2013
No. of person: 1
TA/RA experience: RA only
Nationality: Iran

Hi guys,
Based on my old GCMS notes, five points were given for the two years of Phd study. However, they only considered one year of work experience even though I claimed two(1 year in Hong Kong, 1 year RAship), so at this point I do not know if it was the Hong Kong work experience they accepted or the RA experience. I ordered another set of GCMS notes, and I will get them in 20 days hopefully then we will find out what was accepted(All these assessments were done at CIO@Sydney), but stay hopeful, guys. :)

It is interesting that Sydney still gives adaptability pts! Maybe this time CPP-O admit the points. That will be awesome. In my GCMS, they have not awarded me the 5 pts which is probably because I applied before May.

But this all is from Sydney not CPP-O.

Thanks for the update, your case will likely give us a lot of information regarding RA.

Thanks for updating. It is great that adaptability points were given for now.
We are waiting to hear good news from you :)

I just noticed that the average processing time is changed to 25 months. It was 13 months the last time I checked :(

Nope. Copies are fine. If it is translated, it should be the official (original) translation, not a copy of the translation.

Hi everyone,

Can you please tell me if we need to submit pay stubs with my application...or are t4s usually enough?

Thank you
