Congratulations! Anjuku once again. I always get very excited when someone share good news in the forum at the same feel very sorry and start scaring with the bad news like today MJ2's rejection. This one is really really scary since although his reference letter looks OK but still he was rejected. I don't know what I will do if anything happen like this with me. Me and my wife are now dreaming and counting the days to start our family. Anyway, celebrate one of your most memorable day in your life (I guess) :).
thank you Kaziahmmed..i agree that this whole process is nerve racking and todays rejection on the forum still seems weird to me since the key word assist was there in the job duties...it seems like they found some other reason now to reject reference letters for RA or TA which is really unfortunate...but i still believe you will be fine and i wish you and your wife all the very best for your PR journey :)

The first step is to send them an email, tell them that you chose NOC 2133 not the other NOC, it may take few weeks to respond.
Order you GCMS notes to get the full picture. They may tell you it was a typo and even with the correct NOC you didn't meet the requirements or they may put your file again under process. Some applicants got help from their MP office, the assistant can call the CIC directly to inquire about the decision as you believe there was a mistake.
Good Luck!

I heard back from them, They said that it was a typo in the Email and the correct code was considered for my rejection, so I think it is final!

Thanks Anjuku for all the well wishes for me and for my wife. I wish all the members of this forum will get their PR eventually doesn't matter how long it takes for them to process the application but please evaluate it properly. Life or time never pause for anything but honestly speaking you guys (CIC) are pausing everything. You guys made the Sydney office for the preliminary assessment so that at least no one will get rejection due to documentary reason but I am wondering are they (CIO office) really works at all. Waiting after 13/14 months nobody expect the rejection but their PR but unfortunately they are rejecting ppl for documentary error. This is not only sad this is a shame for the whole system. This is just destroying lot of potential ppls life.

thank you! I have few other questions :)
1. my boyfriend is a foreign student at McGill, Montreal, Quebec :( he's in his 4th year of PhD. I was looking on your forum and it seems that there are no applicants from Quebec who got PR through this stream?? He never applied for CSQ, though he speaks French.
2. It looks like many Quebec applicants in the PhD stream applied before for CSQ, could it be a reason to be asked for more proofs about where you want to settle after graduation?
3. were rejected applicants refund for the fees?
4. Anybody knows which kind of proofs we can submit to prove we don't want to live in Quebec after his graduation?

The timing for CSQ is crazy now, they told me on the phone that can be 1 year-1 year and a half.... Thanks for helping out, it's much appreciated!

1. If you can afford, apply for both CSQ and federal, if you get CSQ, its confirmed, dont rely on PhD stream. See whats happening here. French is an asset.

2. That is an option, see if graduating soon, then apply for PhD stream and be ready to answer all the queries being asked to Quebec applicants. No successful candidate yet.

3. No refund.

4. No definite answer, as much as you can. Preferably a job offer outside of Quebec, proof of graduation, near completion, thesis submission. the list can go on. Hope some of us might get accepted and then we can have an idea.

The phone info is wrong. They always lie, its a Quebec thing. They discourage people to apply. 1-11/2 is total duration. They stopped to revamp the program, bu they are up again I guess. If your bf is graduating soon, then apply for PEQ since he speaks french. It comes in 20 days without interview and then federal part is the same for all but atleast your PR is guranteed if medicals and crime come out negative.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your wish.
I sent them an email with highlights on the letter. No reply yet.
I am preparing to re-apply. One Question for ECA. Let's say I have my BSc and MSc from outside of Canada. Do I need to send them both documents or only MSc should be sufficient for them.
Thanks,

Thanks,

Your highest Canadian or equivalent educational credential is sufficient- i.e your Msc

Thanks,
I just sent the way it was. I am not optimistic it will change anything as my first letter was also the same.
But, let's see what happens

Sorry for your experience. I was rejected by similar reason.

Hi, every one. I am considering to re-apply, although I hate to prepare the docs all over again.

I heared from one of my friends that CIC now requires spouse to take a language test. Is this true? I don't find any regarding info on the CIC wensite; however, my friend was quite sure about this. Does anyone know?

It's actually recommended for your wife to take IELTS or CELPIP :) All you need is the scores equivalent of CLB level 4, and it's not hard at all to get those. If she gets at least 4.0 in speaking and writing, 4.5 in listening, and 3.5 in reading, then you'll be awarded 5 extra points :)

Your accompanying spouse or common-law partner's level of language proficiency in either English or French is at the CLB 4 level or higher in all four language abilities (speaking, listening, reading and writing).

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

If your wife would kill you if you make her take the test, then that's okay too. You would just miss out an opportunity for easy (much easier than the nonsense previous work/study adaptability points; and it can't be challenged provided you also submit her original score report) five extra points :) Just make sure, though, that you have enough number of points to qualify, even without making her write the exam.

Ok, here is the end to my application:

Dear XX: Your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker Class was considered on its substantive merits but was refused. You were provided with the decision containing the reasons for refusal of this application in our message thereby fully concluding this application.
Please be assured that every consideration was given to your application and we regret that our reply could not be more favourable.

Thanks FA01772 for giving "every consideration" to my application by not seeing my letter.
Waste of $1100, time and hope.
I am feeling that re-applying won't work for me. What can I change compared to previous one. :-| :-X

I wish others do fine or at least don't get stuck with FA section.
You guys were awsome. Thanks to everyone who helped.

I am very sorry.
I am actually not just sorry, but I am also scared for future applicants, because I simply do not see what was missing in your letter.
