I just got some general questions when filling in "Generic Application Form for Canada IMM 0008".
(1) question 4 of application details: Immigration office requested for processing this application.
which office should I put there, if I am living in Edmonton now.
(2) question 7: have you received your certificat?
Should I also leave it blank?
(3)question 10 of personal detail: current country of residence.
The country is Canada, the status is Student, From data is when I landed, but what should I fill for the To data?
Anyone could help to answer my questions? Thanks very much!

Thank GeoCanadian and mkrp21 for your quick replies.

Another two quick questions.

1. Usually, how long will it take (how many months after the application) when CIC requests proof of fund?

2. My wife has $16,000 saving in her account (a Chinese bank), which has been saved for more than 2 years. Is it OK to use this money as the proof of fund?

Thanks.
I think that money should be in the principal applicant's account. My wife also had some significant amount in her account but my consultant said you can not show her money as your proof of funds, yes you can submit her account details also to show your family financial status, that might help to get a good impression of your application. But eventually you have to show your own fund. You can do one thing, can put those money in your account (with your own savings) and get a letter(with her signature) from your wife that she gifted you those money and no obligation to return to her.
Good Luck.

Hi guys,

I've submitted my application in Dec. 2012 and got my PER in Feb. 2013. Based on my ECAS, my assessment process has not started yet by Ottawa. Can I send a supplementary reference letter of my current RA in more details (more description of duties) now?
Is Ottawa going to consider the new letter in my assessment?

Hello there,

You can give it a try, although it didn't work with all the applicants who did, either it wasn't attached at all to their file as aidina or was considered but didn't change the decision they were to make as happened with hamed_hamed_hamed!

BTW, would you like to share your timeline? If yes, please post your dates, nationality, number of persons, ecas status, and kind of work experience.

Congratulations :)

If you live in Canada, GCMS notes are free, and you can order as many as you like. The only drawback is that you will have to wait for a month each time. Since you already got your file number, it's probably not a bad idea to order your notes now, just to see what Sydney has already done, but keep in mind your notes won't likely change much, if at all, for the next several months, until Ottawa has assigned an officer to evaluate your file.

Yes, I live in Canada. So, I'll just keep ordering them I guess :) Thanks so much for your reply!

Just see the third line added: "Medical results have been received. "
No "decision made" wording.

Sounds great! Next step is a PPR :)

Hopefully...Some ppl in this thread got the descision made at the same time when it shows that medical results have been received.

Two applicants but Asbereth waited 4-5 weeks until they contacted them after Decision Made status!

Well, actually I only waited two days :) I got decision made on April 15, and got PPR on April 16. But CuriousGuy and rgb waited like 6 to 7 weeks after decision made to get PPR. My friend and TyrusX got PPR before decision made. It's all over the place ::)

Application reached: 20 Dec 2012
PER issued: 12 Feb, 2013
Work experience: RA/TA
No. Person: 2
Nationality: Iraninan

In addition, based on my CAIPS report, Sydney gave me 5 points adaptability from 2 years study, but they didn't give my spouse education points and the points from my current RA.
Is there any body else in the period of after Nov 2012, who received 5 points from previous study, One of my friend also has the same condition as me.
I'm going to send them some supporting docs, I don't know if they gonna re-consider again, And as I mentioned earlier my assessment by Ottawa hasn't started yet.
I don't know when aidina or hamed_hamed_hamed sent their updated reference letter?

I just received my CAIPS, I found that they didn't any adaptability points! I should get 9 points for my spouse education and my Canadian child. May be once an applicant met the minimum requirements and exceeded the 67 points, they stop adding those points as all of this will be recalculated by Ottawa. However I am surprised that they gave you 5 points from previous study!
So how many years did you claim? How many years were approved by Sydney? How many points do you have in total?
I think they sent their supplementary letter few months before the decisions were made.

They gave me 67. Based on my case, I should get 68. they didn't give me 4 points of my education and 2 points of work, but gave 5 from study.
68-4-2+5 = 67

Yeah, Me too. I got PPR even before 'Medical received' was showing. one day after PPR, Medical received was shown and one day after this, Decision made was shown. Seems there is no rule to update ecas.
