I have a feeling that our case will be processed in CPP-Ottawa.... Look at this post,

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cppottawa-only-post-your-timeline-here-faster-processing-t87166.0.html;msg1120491#msg1120491

This PNP-PhD case is being processed in CPP-O... just my thought..

You may right. But it is better to ask MASOUD2011 and jessiezz to proof your thought.

I think there is a high chance that this is our case. I have checked all the applicants on the link you provided and all of them submitted before Nov 1st. We might be included in the Nov batch... but who knows.

:( I got application returned. My advice to every one is : every letter from school should have "have good academic standing " to ensure the chance of being accpeted.

did u resend the application? If so, would u plz post the current staus of ur application and the timeline? did u send the same application package with the tic marks?

Hello everybody,

I'm thinking of applying next week. I've got a letter from the department that clearly states that I'm enrolled in the PhD program and have successfully completed 2 years towards its completion and that am in good academic standing. I know it would be better to get a letter from the Registar or Grad Studies (it takes few days) for this but my police clearance certificate would be 3 months old on this Feb 29 and So I'm kind of in a rush to send my application package with the departmental letter.

Couple of people in this forum mentioned about getting their application returned for this very letter (departmental). Could you guys please confirm if it was because of the letter itself or if it were the words that were not framed correctly in the letter? What specific reason did CIO provide for returning your application? If you don't mind sharing the 'wording' they used for returning the application that would be great?

I will very much appreciate ideas from anybody. Please share your thoughts.

Many thanks.

The Document checklist IMM 5612 clearly mentions that the letter has to be signed by Registrar or Dean of Graduate Studies. I think, there is a strong probability that your application will be returned if you only include the departmental letter.

Update on CIC: "Applications received toward the overall cap: 197 of 1,000".

that's a lot of people in a single week. I'm starting to believe they count people in the cap after only
cashing their applications. It is very possible that there even more applicants in the waiting list.

did u get your previous application returned?

Yes, it was returned on Feb.19.

Why? letter of attestation?

Can someone make me a favor? Can you guys take a printscreen of the "in processing" status over the E-CAS?
And then post here?

My application package was received on Dec 15th. The bank draft was cashed on Feb 3rd. Now my status is "in process". Hopefully, more people can share their timelines in the forum.

snow_walker, you can put my info into the tracker file.
