According my GCMS, it moved on September 3 and the most recent note on my file was on September 16 and it's label was general. Did you receive your GCMS recently?
My GCMS notes is also similar to yours. It has been transferred from FSW-REG to AW.... I hope we can hear something from them soon. Just one person from Phd stream and 2 other applicants from CPC-Ottawa forum have received PPR last week. Do you have any information from other applicants so far?

Hi guys,

After I received the PPR email, I wrote them back that I got married and attached marriage certificate along with my husband docs (PR card, passport) and asked
them what I should do now and what other documents I should send. Of course no response. Then, I called CIC this morning and the agent said that I must send my passport
anyways because they asked me to do so. He said CIC only need to know if any important event has happened in my life (like marriage) and just sending them an email is sufficient.

Do you think his response was reasonable? Should I send my passport? Or should I wait for them to reply my email?

Hello uwaterloo,

My ecas updated this morning as well. The "medical result received" was available this morning. How about yours?

Hey farahnz, I thought I'd share my experience sending emails. I had to get a new passport since my old one ran out of pages so I sent them an email letting them know and asking them to update my application. I sent it on July 27th and still haven't heard back.

So if I were you I wouldn't wait for a reply since that might take forever/never happen. If you send it and there is some problem (I don't see what it could be) the worst that could happen is that they would just contact you/send it back, right?

If I were you, I would send my passport with a cover letter explaining the update with supporting documents.

Hi espg_007,

You are right, they are not best known for replying emails in a timely manner. The worst that could happen is they lose my passport before sending it back :D. But I will take that risk and send it anyway. Thank you +1 and hope you hear from them soon too :)

Thanks Viva2014 and +1. I will send it then :)

Dear all,

I need you opinion regarding an issue.

Currently I am a permanent resident of Canada. During the processing of my application, my sister changed her first name (some months after I submitted my application). However, I just realized this change.

I called the call center and the lady told me since she changed her name after submission of your PR application (even though the name was changed before finalizing the application), you do not need to do anything and only when she wanna apply for a visiting visa, she needs to provide documents in this regard.

Do you think I need to do anything else?

Any update so far guys?

I wouldn't count on getting any updates for now

Logically speaking it could be that:
1. They are too busy with preparing hand over notes for the incoming government and the left over FSW 2014 will become the responsibility of the incoming government;

2. On the positive side they may decide to wrap up FSW 2014 left over applications before they hand over (November 4 for Prime Minister take over) so that incoming government will see the good the Harper govt have been doing. Or so that they don't overload incoming government with applications that the incoming government knows little about.

Just my thoughts.

I hope your positive side happens and this frustrating situation comes to the end! :'(
