Hi folks,

Congratulations to your PPR and successful landing.

It seems to be stuck after medical examination request and RPRF. Any idea or advice about my case?

I received medical examination request on 25th May, 2015. And I sent my ME receipt to CIC on 25th May, 2015, because I did an up-front medical examination on 6th April. However, I have not received any news from CIC since then. And the 3rd line is still not available in my eCAS system.

I received my GCMS this morning, it was ordered on 12nd June. In the "fees" section, It said RPRF is paid. And in the "Incomeing" section, it said the verification of Medical examination is received. However in the "activity" part, the latest one is as following:

sub-activity/activity type: medical
field name:status
new value: sent
updated date:2015/05/25

And here is my timeline:
App. Filed.......: 20-Nov-2014
Doc's Request.: 26-Mar-2015(Intend to live Outside of Quebec)
PER-CIO:11-Feb-2015
File Transfer...: 27-Feb-2015
Med's Request: 25-May-2015
Med's Done....: 6-April-2015

Do I need to contact CPC-Ottawa?

It's better to contact them and see if they have finalized your medical assessment or not.

Hi Richard,

Congratulations for you PPR. So Happy for you. :)

The criminality of my wife and me are OK according to the GCMS. It said "passed" on the GCMS. As for the security section, it should be started between 22nd April and 22nd May. However, the updated information for security was hidden.

Check your security and criminality section. Have you submitted your police reports with application? Most of the time consuming part is security clearance. It also depends on how many countries you or your dependents have visited.

Thanks viva, I will forward a mail to CPC-Ottawa right now.

I landed today at the local CIC office. It went very smooth and the lady was so kind. She asked me the employment letter and nothing else. It took around 10 minutes to be done.
Thanks again for your support and wish you speedy MR and PPR and smooth landing.

Good luck :) :) :) :)

Congrats!! What is the employment letter they asked for? ALso I had called cic and they told me the office in Vancouver will let me know in 4 weeks by mail (!) when my landing time should be. I called them last week and still nothing from CIC. where did you land and how long after your call they did you land? and how did the local CIC office informed you? Thanksss

Hi guys

I would like to share surprising story of my landing at Douglas (Pease Arch) port of entry at Vancouver main land.
I went through all flag polling formalities. Then Canadian Boarder Officer just put "Douglas" on my CoPR and asked "do I have any travel plans?". I said 'Yes' and I am going to Europe on this 17 July.
Then officer said that better to do landing on the way back from EU. The reason he gave that if he do my landing then I won't be able to fly because I will not get the PR card before July 17.

This response really surprised me which makes no sense to me. Well, I didn't argue with him and said OK I will do on my way back from EU.

Wonder if anyone had similar situation ?
And it might be some Guidelines for those who are expecting landing in future.

Cheers,

Check your criminality and security.
In my case, security delayed PPR for one month as it was hidden the time I ordered GCMS. If that's the case, then it will over soon.

Best,

you simply didn't do a great job by, 1st: having planned a trip within days of landing, and 2nd: handling the officer's question. I'd recommend the same thing if I were the officer! lol

oh, and guideline!! : a port of entry officer is not required to ask about your future plans unless it is meant to shed light on something unclear about your situation... after all you could certainly insist (while keeping a smile on your face) if you wanted to!

Hi Enginer,

Thank you for your reply. My criminality is passed. The security should be in process. I am confused why the 3rd line is still not available. It's more than one and half months since I sent the verification to them.

Congratulations.. How did you solve the problem? Can you PM me?

Hi,

Actually CIC accepted my evidence that I already had sent POF on September 2014, so they did not ask me for the new one.

Hi guys,

I am going to send my passport to CIC, Doo you have any suggestions regarding the post? should I send any other document along with the passport?

There is two ways to send the passport, which one you suggest?

Canada Post:
