It depends on the country of nationality and/or how long you have been living in Canada as a temporary resident. If you were not asked for RCMP together with your home country PCC, you won't be asked in future!

It happened to me before, because I claimed 35hours/week RA. This time i only claimed 20 hours/week.

I just want to assess my chances of getting PER or to know if I still need to do anything to boost my chances of getting PER.

when did you apply for the first time? Since I have seen people being successful by claiming 40 hrs/week with RA, I think it depends on VO's subjective decision.

I claimed 40 hours per week for about 4 semesters and I had no issues. But, the work was certified by HR department, not something my boss wrote...

I guess u have no problems as u claimed 20hrs

In my case I claimed 40 hr/week for RA and department and HR was not willing to write as there is no such definite contract, even I worked more that 40 hr/week, I used letter from my supervisor shows number of hours and my work details according to NOC code and for funding details I got letter from department, and fromy GCMS notes I observed I was awarded experience points

Yeah may be there won't be problems with 20/week in new application. However, I bet there are other people whose supervisors wrote >=35hr/week and were still successful. The previous application was sometime in May-June 2013. I guess the CIC officer was just having a bad day. What he said had nothing to do with the author/origin of the employment reference letter. Something like this."Evidence shows you are full time student so I do NOT believe you also worked FULL time during the same period".

Anyways that's in the past now.

Congrats buddy, it seems initial process of PhD applications takes longer than other NOCs. While the CC are charged for 15 Dec, we are still around 1!

Finally today 3rd line appeared online my online status,


3-Medical results have been received, And day before yesterday they asked me to update update my passport, I already renewed my passport and same day i sent them scanned copy of new passport.

Now fingers crossed to get PPR soon.
