Hi all,
Finally, I received the passport request yesterday :)

Btw, I have an old passport and a new one. Should I send both passports or only the new one? All of my travel details are in the old passport.

Also, do I have to send two photos with the passport?

Thanks
Congratulations, can you kindly share the timeline with us?

2 to 3 weeks after PER, next step is to get request of MR and PRPF same day or with the one day gap, what do you mean by reception of application, You get PER because you application already been received.

Thanks RAP, finally .......:). We had a terrible last week. May be this story would be helpful for others.
My wife came in Canada recently as a visitor. Although she had a five yrs visa but the officer gave her only 3.5 months visitor permit. We applied for her OWP but we didn't receive the decision even after 43 days and now she had to leave Canada. I have called to the call centre to confirm whether my wife can stay in implied status or not but they said the officer at the airport during her arrival override the condition for being in implied status. So she had to leave on 10th January. I bought the ticket and her flight was at 11pm. When we arrived at airport we have requested the officer that her application is in process and also showed my PER letter. Then officers convinced and allowed her to stay until she get a decision. And guess what on Monday she got the approval of her OWP and next day we got the Medical. It was terrible week for us but thankfully two good news relieved all the stresses.
thanks for sharing. It was very useful.

We have moved to a new place a few months ago and I changed my address through ecas. Now, I received my GCMS notes which shows that my address has been changed but my wife's is still the old one. Since, I have already sent our passports to ottawa, what should I do? Should I wait until I get them back and let officer now during landing? Or I should call CIC call centre and ask them to change it?

As for my wife as the dependent, I think the only problem with wrong address is that she might not receive her PR card. Since the PR card application will automatically be initiated when I land, don't you think that I might be better wait until landing?

Thanks in advance

Hi guys,

I received PER today. I have a question about PCC. I visited my home country in May and ordered PCC as it is much easier this way. When I sent my documents in Oct, I saw in the checklist that by the time of sending the application, police certificate should not be more than 3 month old. But mine at the time was ~5 month old and I sent it anyway.

I know that police certificates are valid for 1 year. So technically it is valid now. Do you think I should order a new one? Any advise is much appreciated.

I do not think so. My country is as same as yours and I had the same issue. I have not been asked for PCC yet. If they need it they will probably ask when they send you medical request email.

No but i have requested to submit my PCC from backhome during my MR and RPRF request
. I didn't submit my PCC with my application thats why they have asked.
Adamant: Can I ask how long after receiving PER, they requested your PCC from home country?
Also when they asked, did they give you a deadline for submitting PCC? If so, how long was it?

Pepe,

Under EE system, even if the applicant applies for FSW, the work experience obtained during full-time study is not considered. In other words, it is regardless of the type of the category under which you apply. Therefore, those PhD students who want to apply under EE, they have to provide at least one year of full time work experience during the time they were not studying at all or they were a part-time student.

What would you like to update? Has your family composition changed? or would you like to send new reference letters?

You have to send a valid passport (at least 6 months valid) and this must be the passport number you included in your application. Otherwise you must inform CPC Ottawa immediately about the passport renewal.

If the old passport is still valid for at least six months and that was the one you used to apply for permanent residency, then no worries and send the old passport.

By the way, can you tell us what time you got PPR yesterday? Please post Ottawa eastern time.
