For those who remember my case:

My CC got charged today finally (application reached CIO on Sept. 8)

And guess what, CIBC did not deactivate my old credit card. They caused me a lot of trouble by lying about deactivation date. But now it is all done.

I was told once in the past by CIC call center that when CIO doesn't update a particular cap it means they do NOT expect the cap to be full anytime soon.

CIC updated the cap for FSW2014 except for PhD category. I don't know why!

I have no idea but I can tell you that when it says a VO code, it means that your application is being handled by a VO. My application was with a VO the last few days because of the ATIP request only, that's why I can see what was the the actual location of my file at CPC-O (FSW Jan), you should probably see it in your next GCMS notes because I couldn't see it either in the previous one I got.

Thanks. I ordered another GCMS on 10th Dec so should be getting it on 9th Jan 2015 (after due date). Long waiting.

Fresh news!

Do you remember I requested GCMS notes last week? Well, they came today . The reason why is because I wrote that I needed this file urgently since I have a due date to submit my PCC and I wasn't 100% sure if CPC Ottawa received them. ATIP department was so generous in sending GCMS notes today.

All remain the same but I found some interesting notes.

Criminality: Still in progress They received PCC on Nov 27, they forwarded to an officer for review and the last status was "in queue" for review by an officer.

All my GCMS notes requests were recorded in the PDF file. Interestingly, every time I requested them it says: Item Pulled from LOCATION: FSW Jan, Item scanned and returned to FSW Jan. Any idea what that means?

All emails I have exchanged with CPC Ottawa were copied and pasted at the end of the GCMS file, LOL, I will never email them again.

Finally the due date remains the same

Pepe, remember that not always do they meet the due dates. your case is not the first case I have seen. I have been reading this forum for more than a year though my posts are not a lot. Please stop sending inquiry to them as it may affect your application.

Pepe, remember that not always do they meet the due dates. your case is not the first case I have seen. I have been reading this forum for more than a year though my posts are not a lot. Please stop sending inquiry to them as it may affect your application.

No for sure not. Don't worry at all. Just be patient.
Before you there are many applications waiting to be finalized. They will never give your case a priority over them. You will get good news very soon. It's just matter of time

Don't worry man, they don't have time for getting upset . But honestly, e-mailing could be just useful to update some information but never speed up the process.

I am single and I am filling the form Schedule 3 (economic classes FSW, IMM 0008).

It keeps asking question about spouse

For example:
is your accompanying spouse or common-law partner proficient in English or French?


what should I answer? No? or just leave it?

other questions ask "if applicable" when it is about spouse. should I leave them blank or should I answer no?

If you are single then you could write N/A, I would also attach a separate sheet as it is allowed and would explain that question bit explicitly that I am single and that question is not applicable to me.

No problem! I asked them two years ago when the PhD stream cap wasn't updated for like 4 or 5 months. So probably they don't expect the PhD cap to be full before 2015.
