Thanks, but I'm assuming it takes longer than that. I understand that the process is case-specific, but has anyone else realized that Iranian applications take longer to process?

Congratulations. You will probably get Med. Request and RPRF request in 2 weeks.

No. The process for all Iranian and other nationalities are the same. There is an Iranian here in this group, who got medical Req. 2 weeks after receiving file number. If you see our status, you will consider that all of us got our Med. Req. after almost 2 weeks.
Best wishes.

Well in that case, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Unfortunately there is more than enough evidence to say that the process for iranians is different. Most if not all iranians are requested to submit CV and an explanation of their field of work.

I agree with you. My comment above was only mentioning the very first step for this period of time. Otherwise, there are many unexpected issues may happen during the process of their applications such as sending CV and ... .

It seems as though there's been a misconception on this forum that if an application is received in the beginning of the next year, it won't be considered regardless of whether the cap is reached or not. If the cap is not reached before the new year (which of course I doubt), CIO will certainly accept more files in January onwards.

"CIC will accept 500 applications for processing per year under the PhD stream.
The new PhD cap year began on May 1, 2014.
These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015."

Note that in 2015 there will be an overlap between the current system and express entry, where both systems will be running simultaneously.

If you go to CIC website, in FSW page, you will find a new sentence: "Sending more than one application does not increase your chances of being accepted for permanent residence. All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines. Fees will be charged for each one.".
It means that after January first, they probably will not accept any more applications for the current system even if the cap is not reached.

It is clear Viva 2014. Even if 0 out of 500 is sent to CIC before January, they will NOT accept even one application under current process after Jan. 1st.

Yes exactly.

hello, everyone.

I just obtained my PCC request.

I am a Chinese and my household register booklet (hukou) is registered in CSCSE(教育部留学服务中心).

Could any Chinese who has the same situation successfully issued the accepted PCC?

Thank you very much.
