How long does it take to change my status online

IF you send it with express, it is hard to be lost. Wait a couple of days.
Then you can call Canada post. You have the track number.

Do you guys know if Canada Post is experiencing delays due to snow in Ontario? I sent my PCC last Monday Nov 17 when snowfalls started here and the tracking info still says "in transit". It was supposed to be delivered last Tuesday Nov 19, but it hasn't so far

I am very concerned. Should I ask for PCC again to my home country?

Do you guys think Canada post may have lost my documents?

I called already, many times, I opened up an investigation and they said it may take up to 30 days. I have literally 40 days left to submit my PCC. I can't wait more than a couple of days to ask my home country for a new PCC. What do you guys suggest?

I was checking the social networks (facebook, twitter) and there are many horrible stories about Canada Post this month. There have been two people with lost passports

I think I will ask again for PCC. I will have to pay $200 more

When you are tracking, what is it showing? when was the last time that they updated the tracking?

Don't worry! When I was reading FSW14 pages, I remember one asked for an extension for PCC and Ottawa accepted it! This is natural especially when you are living in a country other than your country of nationality.

It is too early to get worried! They may probably update it by tomorrow. If not even my suggestion for you is to wait for one more day (till the end of Monday) and then if no update occurred ask you parents for a duplicate. You can even tell your parents to go and ask them for additional copy. They may accept providing additional copy without any need for additional documents (and even no fees).

Thanks Viva2014. I don't care if the documents are delayed, but I do care if they are lost. I am trying to predict if there is any chance for the documents to get lost.

I think I will ask my parents for another copy of PCC tomorrow. Hopefully these delays are due to snow only, which is terrible here in Ontario. In the future, I will never use Canada Post again, unless I am asked for passport but would rather prefer to send the returning Xpresspost envelope within an UPS envelope!

This is exactly how the weather looks like here in ON. Also, canada posts parcels/letters are transported by trucks! So should I hope my PCC are just delayed and not lost?

Any time. Don't use UPS envelope. I remember one of the people in this forum had a terrible time with UPS as he selected UPS for returning his passport but CIC did not accept UPS and send his passport (with stamped visa) back with regular mail.

If it's not hard, do ask your parents to get a new PCC. Hopefully, you won't need it but just in case it's good to have a spare one.
