The medical request email, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1e06Gzoaf_4Fwl_5pI7Ot3tXEpyTWPPyI6cjI6sVxKs4/edit. There were three attached files. The first one is a medical form that has my picture and information on it, that has to be filled out by a doctor. The second file is a pdf file with instructions for the doctor. The third file is a pdf file containing various instructions for the applicant about the medical request.

Cheers,

Now the question is if they send all of our files to Ottawa or only some of them are selected for the pilot program and rest are sent to Buffalo. I really hope it is the former.

Shomo, it seems that the Buffalo visa office is being closed. Refer to the post by Brit_Immigrant:

This may have something to do with why you received information from Ottawa.

Holy crap, congratulations!!! As I suspected, we would not receive any AOR from either Buffalo or Ottawa. Hopefully this means that things will start going for the PhD stream applicants. Now, we have to figure out how to update the spreadsheet for medical requests. Once again, congratulations, ejamal :D I hope the timeline now will be linear as to when PER was issued, and not when the applications were received :P

Huge congrat!!! Finally some positive news here. Among all the mess I've been dealing with recently, there's finally some hope out there. Guess you can now have a very good weekend!

I think regardless of whether it is only a select few on the pilot program or not this is good news for all of us. Massive congrats ejamal. It is good to see that the people receiving progress are towards the top of the list we have and there appears to be an order relevant to when you submitted your application. Hopefully this will trigger a string of progress updates from all of us over the next few months.

And they didn't ask for anything other than medical, say bank statement, any missing document, etc?

Just the medical request.

Yes, I have submitted by police records. As for the bank statements, for the preceding 6-months before my application, I don't know what that means because my bank does not send me monthly statements. I asked my bank to issue me an official letter showing my account balance for the preceding 6-months but they refused. There reason was that they never issued such a letter before. I argued with them for a bit, and they gave me two letters. The first was a personal statement which included my current balance at the time. And, the second letter was called "Account confirmation". It contained a lot of information, e.g how long I have had that account with them, whether I have any loans or not, whether I have any mortgage or not, whether I have had any checks bounced due to non-sufficient funds for the preceding three months or not, and whether I have missed any payments for the past year.

I hope that was helpful.

Cheers,

Thanks ejamal. It's very helpful indeed.
I also sent them the same things: my recent 2-month bank statements + an official letter show my banking history like yours.

Anyway, they might request us to send them our bank statements for 6 months at any time. I believe that all of us should start preparing for that.

Congratulations!!!

Is the 6-months bank statement mandatory? I've never heard it before and didn't put it in the application package.
Now I'm little bit concerned it as MASOUD has been asked to provide it.

Should I prepare one and send it to VO before they process my case?
