About 10 years ago, we left Canada without completing the three years for us to become citizens. unfortunately we could not go back. last year, when my son wanted to go back his file's officer told him he can come back and renew his permanent residency status. About 6 months later, my husband applied for a travel document to return back to Canada with me and my underaged daughter. This application contained information about all the medical reasons of close family relatives that prevented us from coming back to Canada. Our application got rejected and we applied for an appeal. My daughter turned 18 about 3 months ago. She provided even more medical information and a letter asking for a travel document and her permanent residency. It has been exactly 20 days now and my daughter still hasn't received a letter yet. During these 20 days, the time of our appeal hearing was set to this July which is much faster than most. Now, what would you recommend for us to do to win our appeal?

Since she's underage, chances are her PR has been tied to yours and is under review. If she hasn't been to Canada in the last year, don't be surprised if they reject her application for a PRTD. Chances of winning an appeal aren't particularly good (about 1 in 10 is successful). IRCC is pretty careful about revoking PR status, as it isn't taken lightly, so they must feel pretty confident about their decision. No one can tell you what to do to win, as each case is specific. Best advice I could offer is to review your entire file before you go to the appeal board. Nothing worse than showing up unprepared.

EDIT: Missed that she has already applied with you and your husband. Her PR is already under review for revocation I would imagine. IRCC probably won't issue a PRTD unless they feel she needs to attend the appeal.
