Hello friends,

I sent my application since October 2014. I received my AOR number in February 2015.

Anyways, my question is, should I start working on my police check up from my country of origin or should I wait until I get the request from CIC?

Also do I need the RCMP check up too? i've lived in canada since 2012. Eventhough I have it already, it's in a closed envelope, I don't know if I should open it or keep it closed.

hope someone can help me
thanks

Depending on your country of origin and the time they consume to get you the certificate, it's best if you start working on it as soon as possible so when CIC asks for them, they are handy and ready to go.

Since you are already in Canada and this country is your country of residence, you do not need any police clearance from Canada unless they specifically ask for it.

Best of luck mate,
