AOR question

Hi!

I was wondering if someone could clear something up for me. My understanding is that AOR for spousal sponsorship means that someone has ‘opened the case’ and has yet to start going through the paperwork.

But I’ve seen some people saying that apps will be returned before receiving AOR if anything is wrong/missing

So which is it? Does receiving AOR mean your app has been marked as complete and nothing is missing? Therefore once you receive AOR your app won’t get returned?

There have been rare cases of applications returned after receiving AOR, but I'm not entirely sure the circumstances, I've just seen a couple people mention it in various threads.

AOR means your application has been received and assessed for completion. 99.9% of the time, if you receive an AOR your application will not be returbed
