AOR of PR application to apply for Open Work Permit

Hello,

Can you please advise that how long it will takes to receive AOR of PR application? I will need to apply for Open Work Permit since my WP was expired.

Note: My PR application is based on the spouse sponsorship application. Thank you!

Confused.

You stated in a post from August of 2023 that you had just received your renewed PR card. How/why are you now asking about AOR for a PR application?

Did he submit an Inland or Outland application?

When did his status expire (you mentioned an expired WP)?
 
It is inland application. his WP was expired on Jun 19, 2024. We are still in 90 day window. We are restoring his WP while waiting for our marriage certificate then submitting the spouse sponsorship.

You mean that he has applied to extend his [now] expired WP? If that is the case, why does he need to submit the OWP after he receives AOR?
 
The reason is I’m not sure if his application to extend his WP is approved. So i want to have the backup plan if the denial happens. Also, the processing time of the WP extension is about 111 days ( the agency said they will submit the application on Sep 10) So should i understand that he stays in Canada legally after Sep 19?

The 90 day window allows you/him to apply for Restoration of Status, NOT to apply to extend his previous status that expired last month.
