May I ask what's the source of this information?

AOR simply means what it stands for Acknowledgment of Receipt. When you get AOR, your application hsnt even started processing, forget it being 80% complete.

Please refrain from spreading misinformation.
From ECAS,

RECEIVED

(A decision has not been made yet.)

Application Received
Your application has been received at the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Citizenship and Immigration Canada officials will review your application and the required documents and citizenship fees to ensure they meet the minimum processing requirements.

Sorry
I was think AOR means everything is OK about about application package

hahaha,

AOR only means your application was received 10%

IP is the key 80%

IP is were most people with travel history, or background issues get stuck.

Knowledge Test, DM & Outh 10% because the whole process after writen test is matter of few weeks, also most people get Knowledge test and DM same day and outh 3-4 weeks.

AOR means 20% done and ok
IP means 40% done and ok
Test/interview means 20% done and ok
DM means 20% done

Thanks

AOR is just the first step of the application.
There are lots of steps to through

Though not 80% it indeed is a significant step. It doesn't just mean "acknowledging receipt of your application", it means your documentation is found to be correct.

Before sending you that email/letter an IO scrutinizes your application and its supporting docs. And this is done with a fine tooth comb. One error, however minute that is, and your package is sent back to you. As such, passing this stage is very crucial vis-a-vis wastage of time, effort and unnecessary stress. Thus, this step is surely something to rejoice with. You've cleared at least 25% of the processing IMO.

W T F

This forum sometimes seems bound to a W T Trump parallel universe.

Hope is gone. Many moon for the Mooch to perch again atop an oval office branch.

But AOR just means the application has been received and is complete. Its merits? To be determined.

IP is barely a bit more significant than "so what?"

Scheduled for the test and interview? That is getting somewhere. A processing agent will have sorted some of it out by then, SUBJECT TO . . . at the least the interview of course.

For those who are qualified, who followed the instructions, who were honest, responsive, complete, and accurate, then show up for the test/interview and the oath and celebrate . . . a little or a lot, depending on what it means to you.

Otherwise, steer clear of the trolls.

1000% correct information

AOR just means that the right number of forms and required supporting documents are present and accounted for. It doesn't mean that they are "correct" as far as the data that they contain is concerned.

I just got my ATIP results back from the AOR stage and I can see that very little "processing" has actually been done at this point. A few ticks on the primary forms and some date stamps. That's all.

Wait while I calculate the percentage completion of every phase...

Citizenship application is a simple process, just the follow the guideline and apply. There is 0 value in calculating percentages and over-analyzing. It is 100% complete when you receive the citizenship certificate. Period.
