Hi guys,

Whilst my PR is in the process, I applied for a Canadian Visitor Visa yesterday.

I assessed the PR process (at least for my applicastion) and thought it might a long time before I receive PPR.

I need to travel to Canada in August as I would be sitting for a professional course; part of the preparation in case I get the PR.

My question; Would it cause a problem? i.e. having the Visa application whilst the PR is being processed?

Anyone in this board ever tried it??

CIC has changed their automatic voice options to " ... we are experiencing higher than normal call volumes and are unable to connect you to an agent..." !!! It's been like that since this morning. Has anyone successfully connected to an agent yet?

I did. But they did not give me any info as 6 months still not passed in my case.

did you send a mail to NDVO with suject as URGENT? That seemed to help people from previous threads.
 
Guys, I just noticed my "Review of submitted documents" has changed from "No additional documents are needed at this time" to "Provided".

Does anyone know what this means?

BG Check is still In Progress and Final Decision, "Not Started".

BG Check is still In Progress and Final Decision, "Not Started".

It means they have looked at your documents and the review is in progress. It happened to me when I submitted Schedule A in January.

Hi Cofca,

This will be no problem at all, I have recently been in Canada on an eTA without any issues whilst my permanent resident visa has been processing.

Good luck with the course and preparation to move!!!
