Hi cheire...I can't update my status in the spreadsheet...my background check changed to 'in progress' received the email on the 28th Jan.

I'm guessing the myCIC field, since it was created specifically for you.

I believe you will be asked to provide information about this police certificate (document number, expiration dates, etc). You can check the 'FBI PCC thread' for how to do it when you upload an LOE in lieu of an actual certificate (I believe the suggestion was to put all 0s, but you can check that thread to be sure).

Meds passed! So now my status is: Application: Open, Eligibility: Review in Progress, Meds: Passed, and the rest have not yet started/not need at this time. So at least a little progress has been made!

The same day my Meds passed, (which I only figured out by logging into my application), I received a ghost email about 8 hours later, but nothing changed. Is it normal for them to update the application first before sending out an email saying a change had been made? Because I think that's what happened in my case.

I am waiting for FBI Summary. Got following reply from FBI today morning:

My Question was:

I have submitted request for FBI Summary Request. It was received by FBI Office on 30th December 2015. Please let me know currently which date’s request is getting processed and tentatively on which date my request would be processed.

Also please let me know if there is a faster way of obtaining the FBI Summary request i.e. if I personally come to 1000 CUSTER HOLLOW RD, CLARKSBURG, WV 26306 for finger printing would the process be faster?

Response:

The current processing time for an FBI Background Check is taking 13-15 weeks to complete from the date the request was received. It can take 11+ weeks for a request to clear our security process before we are able to see the request in our system. At this time we are opening mail we received on approximately 10-08-2015, it is too early to see the request(s). If you submitted your request by courier (Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS), please view their web site to verify delivery.

Unfortunately, no requests can be expedited at this time due to the amount of work. Please be sure to supply your full name, address, and date of birth when requesting a status update.

Hope this helps who are waiting for FBI Background Check.
