ITA Received : August 21
Application Submitted: October 17

Application/Profile Status: Open
Review of Eligibility: Review in progress
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents: No additional documents required at this time
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
BG Check: Not started
Final Decision: not started.

This status is like this for more than a month. My concern is about the stuck 'Review of Eligibility'. I was checking the timelines of other successful candidates. Within 2 3 days their status changed to BG Check : In progress.

Should I be worried?

Should I be worried?

There is no need for you to worry. Most of the cases are stuck with BG Not Started, including mine. You just need to be patient.

After looking at the AORs of June,July, August and September it is safe to assume that we can only expect any changes/updates to our profiles only after a couple of months of submission. For example, people in the previous months started getting updates for BG or any other, after one or two months from their AOR date. However, some get processed faster and that is just their luck. Nothing to worry about.

Hello all

I need your valuable advice on my case

I have recently applied for Express Entry my application was submitted on 26th October 2015 and same day i have received the acknowledgement. I am FSW inland applicant and the passport is expiring in June couple of months from now and my existing Work permit expires too.

Should i renew my passport now and update my passport details to CIC or wait until the decision is made? Are we allowed to switch our passport details when the application is in process?

Please help me with the query; I have tried calling CIC but the line is busy forever.

You have to change your passport because when you will get the letter to send your PP to Ottawa for visa they ask " Your passport(s) must be valid
for at least 6 months and have at least two blank pages. If a child is included on your passport, you must have one blank
page per accompanying child."

Yes you have to send CSE ,upload there your new passport and LOE and they will updated your file in 5 days i guess

How about work permit? that has to be renewed as well?

Well not necessary but you have to maintain your status valid in Canada...in my case was funny ....I applied to restore my status as a worker in July.. and I applied for PR in Oct.....and PR was approved first and restoration of status was coming 2 weeks later.... ;D ;D ;D

I got it back yesterday with UCI. Didn't try the application number.
