I read in one of the forums that BG checks if detailed takes minimum 06 months and maximum, in some cases, one and half years also from the date of commencement of BG checks. Therefore in my case I see light (may be) at the end of the tunnel only around Sep 16 as BG checks commenced in Mar 16.

Uppu since u are fsw ur file must be in Ottawa isn't it.. how do u know ur file is in ndvo.. have you ordered gcms

When i completed six months i called cic office in canada, they told me my file has been transferred to NDVO. I raised a CSE and GCMS note both indicated that my visa office is NDVO... BG check in progress since Mar 16

Now I am in an endless dark tunnel.

5 mail sent to local VO, no reply. Central VO said to contact local VO.

When is the last time you ordered GCMS?

Are you based in Singapore ? If, then, just go and knock on the SG high commission door. I think some one from pretoria did that and it worked.

Well, my file was transferred from CPC-Ottawa to Abu Dhabi on October 30, 2015. As per GCMS notes, my file just needs a final review by an officer and it's pending for this final stage since February 10, 2016. Calling IRCC is useless, they say contact local VO and local visa office doesn't respond to any status inquiry at all... so just waiting for my turn.
