For all those whose BGC is in progress and the eligibility is cleared, has anyone tried finding out their status from CSIS. Their website states that the status of an immigration file can be found by contacting them.

How can I find out about the status of my immigration screening file?

For general information on immigration/ citizenship/ refugee/ visa-related issues, contact Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at 1-888-242-2100 or the website www.cic.gc.ca.

To enquire about the status of a government clearance or an immigration screening file, the following information is required*:

a full name,
date and place of birth,
the signature of the applicant, and
a return mailing address as replies are not sent by email or fax.
If you are enquiring on behalf of another person, the request must be accompanied by the Consent Form to Disclose Information to a Designated Individual.

Mail or fax the request to CSIS at the attention of:

OMG..this is unbelievable!! What is wrong with CIC?? Yet another day without PPR’s
Both Oct & Sep thread are PPR dry from almost a week now & I doubt if any other thread is receiving PPR. It cannot be a coincidence that suddenly BG for all applicants have become complex enough to get processed, there has to be some reason for this delay/gap. Seems either they have changed their strategy with respect to issuing PPR’s and decided to issue them lot wise or something else is cooking. Whatever it is, I just hope that they recommence the PPR’s at the earliest & we get relieved from this ceaseless wait…

@HMK, you have had at least some sort of communication from them recently, look at my timeline, I just feel that my file fell through the cracks into oblivion on my agent's desk. I ordered GCMS twice and there was no update on my file at all.

I am hoping for miracles here.

same here... my AOR is nov where everything has happened (meds passed/ schedule 4 request and provided). after that, NIL.

Another update guys (I'll put more information in a separate thread): It's easy to obtain the PCC for South Korea from the embassy. I visited the embassy today and was able to fill up a form (Mix of Korean and English & easy to fill) and submitted the form (They need the passport + Alien registration number and 1 passport size photograph). Expected timeline for delivery of PCC is 7 to 10 working days.

Hope it helps others needing South Korean PCC..

Don't worry mate, more or less we are all in the same boat. I am hopeful that our prayers will be answered soon but it's very important for all us to just have faith & not lose hope at this stage..so lets just stay connected & keep each other motivated

Someone just got PPR in September thread. I hope the rain have started. The wait is so frustrating... :'(
