So let me understand this. To be specific, my pgwp expires on June 24. Maybe I should be applying on April 20? Or should I wait till April 30 because that's when I'll reach my 6 months. I'm really confused. What's implied status and restoration period?
Hopefully none of us have to go through all that and we get our pprs very soon.

I am leaving mine till the middle of next month because I tend to cut things fine. It would essentially give me about 2 months or so for it to be processed. Others would definitely recommend doing it in advance. I applied for an extension on my PGWP last year, but that was a paper application, and so it took 4 months to receive my permit. An online application such as a Bridge, is usually faster and they cross check to determine your PR application as well. Honestly, at the end of the day, it's up to you on how you would like to proceed. I got worried earlier this month and put the application together. I just haven't submitted it yet because I am giving myself a couple of more weeks to find out what is going on (I am due to receive my GCMS notes in 2 weeks). Cheers.

After PPR you send your passport and pictures to CIC. They send you your passport with the affixed PR visa and COPR. You can either use a US/Canada border to re-enter Canada where you officially make your landing or you can make an appointment with a domestic official port of landing and make the same procedure over there. After you receive your passports you are done. Only this bureaucratic landing procedure has to be done as well. But it is only procedural. After you get your COPR you have no more stress buddy. So in any case you have to send them your passport? Or maybe it's enough just to send copies of your passport?

I'm planning to go travelling in a month and if PPR comes just before my trip, I don't want to give up my passport for several weeks.

Is it enough just to leave country and come back (or flagpole)? Or you still need to get COPR after sending your passport to Ottawa?

All we can do is hope. It's just baffling that there are some Sept Applicants who are still waiting for their PPR. This is what makes me anxious.

Thanks Matt. I guess my country is visa exempt because my friend had to apply only for eTA before travelling to Canada as a tourist. That's really good to hear that only passport copies are enough.

I'm not really sure. We're not in a position to tell CIC to process our application faster. But I guess we can still call to their call center, wait for an hour or so to speak with an agent and then ask what's going on and hope to hear some useful information.

One of my friends with aor Nov 19 got his bcip a few days ago, it means CIC is working on the applications but they're just too slow

A guy in the Whatsapp group got PPR email yday and he is FSW-O. Definitely CIC is working, but they are putting PNPs on the back burner, which is what is frustrating.

I'm BC PNP Inland and in a month I'll reach 6 months. The problem is that my company is closing and I'll be laid off in two months. Do you know if I have to notify CIC that I lost my job on which my provincial nomination was based? Will that cause any issues to my application if I still won't get PPR until that time?
